The only thing to be aware of is there is no shower in either bathroom (likely due to low ceilings), although both have a mixer tap with a showerhead so you can sit / kneel and shower this way. "We were delighted to find we were staying in a stately home worthy of Downton Abbey. Absolutely beautiful inside and out. Wonderful spaces for the guest with fireplaces and comfortable chairs in beautifully coordinated fabrics, as you'd expect from the previous home of Laura Ashleys family, (although subtley not massively floral). The restaurent was lovely and the food superb. Staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds and views over the Brecon Beacons was lovely, with lots of pubs nearby, and other restaurents in nearby Brecon. Our room had a confortable 4 poster bed and lovely ensuite with a seperate shower and Bath, and a great view. It was one floor up and the stairs were wide and not steep so I managed with my stick. We were able to park right out the front door in the big turning circle. Overall it could not have been better!"

"We had a fantastic stay in Beacon. The house was comfortable and spacious, providing plenty of room for our group of 10 lads who were visiting for a day of walking and canoeing along the River Wye. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi after an active day outdoors, and the garden barbecue area was perfect for spending the evening together. Everything was just what we needed, and the property made for a memorable trip. Highly recommended!"

Secluded location, making it feel quite wild and remote, but actually only a quick drive or walk to the local town Beautiful views of the surrounding hills, very much enjoyed a morning coffee watching how the light and mist changed over the near by Mynydd Troed Mountain. Lots to see and do in the local area, especially if you enjoy walks or cycling"
