Was very disappointed with my stay here. Firstly I booked a 3 night stay 3 weeks prior, to arrive at the property with no-one to check in with or any details being sent for access. I called them as had no check in information to which they then tried to cancel my reservation. There had been no attempts to contact me beforehand to advise of any issues with the room, even though I’d emailed that morning with no response. We were given a room, but it then took 1.5 hours after we’d arrived to be able to get access to our room and even longer still for it to be completely ready. This was due to previous guest who had taken the key to the room, so the lock had to be changed. On the last night someone tried to access our room, late at night, the story they gave was very suspicious. They tried again later in the night. Felt very unsafe as the door wasn’t that secure even though lock had been changed. Shower did not work properly, heat setting did not work so was continuously scalding hot. Toilet seat was gross and not fitted well so made a large clanging sound when you sat on it. Bathroom was very dark, no window which is fine but the bulb used barley gave any light. Was there a few nights & toilet tissue wasn’t refilled. There was no bin, TV didn’t work. Only given 1 pillow which was uncomfortable. We’d stayed at this place earlier this year, the room was mostly ok, so we chose to stay here again. Unfortunately we won’t be staying here again after this last experience.

I didn't even get to stay - my agreed stay was cancelled one day beforehand. No alternative was offered. I wasn't even allowed to speak to anybody at the hotel because I booked via hotels.com. I was just left without accommodation and expected to find somewhere else with only one day left before my trip ...and pay more than £100 extra for an equivalent hotel because the prices were so much higher than when I booked months ago. I do not accept COVID as an acceptable excuse for treating customers like this. Even if the hotel had a fire or flood, the guests would usually be found alternative accommodation and not be expected to pay extra. On top of this I received very poor service from Hotels.com who sent me an incomplete, unprofessional template email (so I was unsure if it was real or a hoax/mistake), kept me on hold for hours with a bad line and someone who didn't know anything about the UK, so was unable to help me. It was a very stressful experience and I feel very let down by both OYO and Hotels.com

What a scam i paid for a hotel and it was a homele
I booked oyo Gulivers from hotels.com and when i arrived at the hotel it was a homeless shelter in Brighton i spent over 7 hours on tbe Internet and the phone and i got no help i thhaf to pay im strawberry fields hotel which is a nice hotel as i stayed there before i then had to pay for it myself they are A all full company i was trying every day to get my money back i logged a complaint with PayPal and that is how I got my money they did not compensate me for wasting a whole day of my break and every day I was away i tried to get hold of them i would never use this company again

This should not be on expedia as it is not a hotel, but temporary accommodation for refugees and those without secure housing. I wouldn't even class it as a hostel. The advert on Expedia states you will be greeted by a member of staff, however there are no staff, no reception etc, as all rooms just have a key code (which of course wasn't even provided to us). If you think you are getting a bargain you are not.
