A one night visit to Perth was very well facilitated by the Sunbank House Hotel. Information sent to us in advance allowed us to plan our visit and thoroughly enjoy our stay.
Location: on the Eastern bank of the Tay less than 15 minutes walk into the heart of Perth. There are 2 options - the path beside the Tay Viaduct or the roadway over South St bridge.
Hospitality: outstanding from the moment we arrived and parked in the on-site spaces to the fantastic breakfast (best kipper in years!)

I was on a business trip and specifically booked the Townhouse on the back of the highly positive online reviews. I wasn't disappointed. From the perfectly-toned welcome from David onwards, I was thoroughly impressed. There are 5 rooms and I was staying in one of the smaller rooms at the top. It was lovely: extremely clean, well designed and furnished throughout, very comfortable bed and lots of extras, such as the fruit, shortbread, proper coffee etc. Breakfast was exceptional and, overall, the...

This a lovely welcoming home in a beautiful natural rural location. The bedroom (and the whole house) was very comfortable with antique furniture and a nice collection of antique nick nacks and art. The mattress on our bed was on the firm side which may not suit everybody. All in all it was a very nice change from the usual utilitarian spaces.
The owner is very thoughtful and responsive, and the breakfast choices were healthy fresh and delicious.

I was staying in the hotel just before heading back down to Manchester on Saturday (I didn't want to travel Friday evening). I've got to say this is probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in. I really couldn't fault anything (maybe the wifi in the evening). I stayed for evening meal and that was absolutely fantastic food. That evening I slept soundly and didn't wake at all till the morning. The breakfast also had more options to anywhere else I've stayed. I will be definitely staying here...

My family and I stayed just one night but enjoyed the relaxed ambience of the hotel, found the staff very friendly and well trained. Dinner and breakfast excellent. Check in and out very easy.

We received such a warm welcome at The Boars Head. It felt like everything in the room was really high spec. Loved that we had a stocked fridge (you had to pay for most items, though!) with free milk and a free dram each, too! A espresso machine with good choice of coffees and tea bags. The decor was beautiful, the shower was powerful. The toiletries smelt wonderful - always good to get conditioner supplied, too - A marker of a good quality hotel, in my opinion! We booked a 5 night break at a special price and found that the offer was outstanding. The receptionist was friendly as were all the staff especially the breakfast lady in charge. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was small as was to be expected as it was an offer BUT the room was clean and tidy and tea and coffee together with shortbread biscuits EVERY day. We found the tv rather small. The drinks in the bar were reasonable for a hotel and almost the same as Wetherspoons. The food at...
