Helpful staff
We were taken ill whilst staying at Hospedaria (nothing to do with them!) The staff were very helpful. We were able to extend our stay in order to recover. Thank you for your help and kindness.

A quirky place which is a working convent with modern guest rooms, some amazing features. Very quiet as you’d imagine (out of season) and great value for a peaceful night before a long journey ahead.

Overrated without any positives
Impossible to find using a gps, and down hill from there. For 4 stars the breakfast is very disappointing. No restaurant on Sunday or Monday. Long distance and big stoned to carry your luggage over, and we were not even told there was an elevator available until we were packing our car to leave. Definitely will not return to this isolated facility without even a friendly greeting or any redeeming features.

Great value for money. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast. Poor Wifi, non existent in rooms. Restaurant closed 3 nights per week. No suitable alternative close by. Supurb setting. The church of the monastery is as good a tribute to a God as you will see anywhere

This is a lovely hotel set in the Monastery of São Martinho de Tibães. It is incredibly tranquil and peaceful and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The room and bed was very comfortable and it was easy to have a good nights sleep. I would highly recommend this hotel. A nice touch was the bathrobes. Lovely outside and inside sitting areas, and although the restaurant wasn't open, it looked great. For those that are religious, there was a chapel too. We didn't find it the easiest place to find, but then our Sat Nav was playing up. My only complaint was that we didn't get a chance to stay longer, but fully intend to go back again. Great value for money too! Thank you, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lodging in the Hospedaria is an exceptional experience, but not for folks who prefer to be in a lively, urban setting. The Convent de Tibaes is located several miles from downtown Braga, and is not really easy to find, even with a GPS. The restaurant was closed the night we stayed, but we were able to have a good meal at a nearby traditional churascaria. The church, convent, grounds and gardens require several hours at least in order to appreciate them, but note that the convent is closed on Mondays (as are museums). The included breakfast was lovely, served in buffet (self-service) style, and the room was as delightful as the rest of the Hospedaria. The comfort, serenity, historical character, and architectural grace create memories that will long linger.

Restful getaway
Quiet and peaceful. Away from hustle of tourist noise. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff always helpful. We needed to have some quiet time before we returned to USA and this was perfect. The grounds are beautifully kept and there is plenty of time to explore the artifacts of history. Very calm and peaceful.

A relaxing boutique hotel inside a convent. Very peaceful and at a short driving distance to center of Braga.The staff was exceptional and very friendly. Fresh and modern rooms.

Alguns detalhes importantes!
O hotel fica dentro do Mosteiro de Tibaes, é um local para quem quer ficar afastado do centro e tem carro! Pois é bem longe do centro pra quem estiver q pe, e não tem onde pegar ônibus ou táxis próximos! O local por ser no alto, estava bem frio (fomos no outono/inverno, já estava frio). O hotel é novo, recém reformado, acomodações bem feitas, confortáveis, tamanho ideal. A TV é bem pequena. O maior problema é que para chegar na entrada do hotel, já dentro do mosteiro, não tem área coberta, ou seja, se chover, vc vai debaixo da chuva msm, pois ngm te recebe na porta. E por ser um lugar religioso, eles fecham as 19h, mas é só tocar a campainha q eles abrem! Enfim, o lugar específico para alguns turistas! Para nós valeu super a pena!

1 nuit en juin dans le cadre d'un auto tours. On a été très contents de notre passage dans cet hôtel. Cadre magnifique. Du moderne dans de l'ancien. Seul défaut : la literie trop molle. Dîner pris sur place très bon. Petit déjeuner très bien. Accueil très bon. Et visite du monastère inclus quand on réserve une nuit. Très très beau site à visiter

Para comer, rezar e amar...
Olá meus amigos aqui da Hotéis... Portugal é sempre uma caixinha de surpresas pra mim e o Convento o foi muito mais, no topo de uma colina, lugar meio difícil de achar concordo, e com uma Igreja secular e maravilhosa dentro dele, esse hotel é tudo de bom unindo história, antigo, novo, beleza, recato, silêncio e funcionalidades. O quarto é bom, mas não possui frigobar. O café da manhã delicioso com tudo: frutas, leite, café, chá, doces, pães geléias, manteiga, iogurtes e está incluso na diária. O restaurante do hotel serve almoço e janta, não é caro e a comida é simplesmente deliciosa, os atendentes gentis e gostamos de estar por lá, repetiríamos, mas é preciso ter carro, porque é longe de tudo.

Lieu incroyable avec un mélange d’historique religieux et de restauration architecturale contemporaine. Chambres modernes magnifiquement intégrées. Pour 55€: nuit, parking, wifi, petits-déjeuners et visite du Monastère... que peut-on demander de plus ? Un seul bémol, il faut aller sonner au monastère, car rien n’est Indiqué à l’extérieur autrement que sur la sonnette.

Fantastisk sted, nyrenoveret og meget fine og komfortable værelser. Restauranten var dog lukket , men den venlige receptionist sørgede for “taxi-pizza`er. Roligt område, men lidt fra byen, men absolut anbefalelsesværdigt!

Heel apart hotel in oud klooster.
Het hotel ligt dus in een heel groot oud klooster. Ze hebben 6 twee-persoonskamer en 3 single rooms. De kamers zijn geweldig modern gemaakt. Het indrukwekkende grote klooster is van 1623, het is de moeite waard om het immense klooster te bekijken. Eigenlijk is het een groot museum.

Monastère interessant. Excellent rapport qual/prix
Bonne nuit très calme dans ce monastère en cours de restauration mais encore très interessant. La partie rénovée est confiée à la congrégation religieuse qui gère l'hotellerie. Cette partie très moderne est très confortable tranche vraiment avec le cadre historique du reste du monastère

Um mosteiro irresistível
O lugar é incrível. Eles conseguíram oferecer luxo e conforto nos quartos sem comprometer a ambiência e a austeridade de um mosteiro. É permitida a visitação e circulação por quase todas as dependências e jardins. Para os amantes da fotografia, como eu, conseguem belas paisagens coroadas por raios de sol que desenham belas silhuetas revelando detalhes muito interessantes. O pequeno almoço é de dar água na boca e é servido por uma sorridente funcionaria que não mede esforços para nos agradar. Não tive oportunidade de experimentar as refeições. Pontos negativos: O local do estacionamento é separado da recepção por um calçamento irregular (uns 50 a 100m) dificultando malas com rodinhas. O banheiro é separado do resto do quarto por uma parede de vidro (apesar de moderno eu não aprecio). Uma pesada cortina tenta esconder esse detalhe.

El hotel está enclavado en un antiguo monasterio.
Las instalaciones son sencillas, pero cómodas. El personal muy agradable y dispuesto siempre a ayudarte en lo que precises. El monasterio está rodeado de un jardín precioso y muy bien cuidado.
