"Staff very friendly and were so accommodating with our party (14) Arranging a room for us to enjoy a drink away from the main bar area, due to a large function taking place. Food was delicious with generous portions It was a little tired in places,but very clean rooms and toiletries replenished even when not used Ideal location for visiting the cathedral, castle, shops and other restaurants/bars"

"Pre booking parking was very convenient. However our room 204 was very noisy in wind sounded like an outside flagpole or sign rattling in wind loud and distracting and woke us in the night . Bar gets very busy. Great location and friendly staff. Would book agsin but not in the same room. Suggest a common access control on corridors to rooms."

"A nice hotel which is centrally located with on site parking. The hotel is showing its age a bit. Good breakfast."

"The room itself was clean with nice bedding and towels. The top part of a bedside light kept flashing which meant turning it off. Also disappointing was that one side of the toilet seat bracket was loose which meant that the seat itself moved. It was a strange experience not seeing any staff. We did see a lady briefly who replenished the breakfast area."

"It was easy to find and there was space in the car park which was very convenient. We were given a lovely warm chocolate cookie on arrival and were able to check in by 1.30 pm which was also helpful. The upstairs bar had a small outdoor balcony with great views over the water. The choice at breakfast was excellent if a little cramped when busy as it was a help yourself. Great value stay!"
