    In a time where most women were unfortunately seen as property themselves, this unique property was owned by Eliza Grey. Erected in the early 1800's but lovingly maintained over the course of centuries, this home has all the original character with plenty of stories to tell.

    ☆☆ FIRST FLOOR ☆☆
    As you enter the home you are greeted with gleaming, wide plank, hardwood floors and an open concept living and dining space that seamlessly spills through double glass doors into a quaint and private garden. Off the living and dining room is the updated kitchen with butcher block counter tops and over-sized breakfast bar. The full kitchen is stocked with everything you need for a home cooked meal. Rounding out the main floor is the family room with the original exposed beams and the ground floor full bath with walk in shower. This bedroom features a daybed with trundle - space for two to sleep!

    ☆☆ SECOND FLOOR ☆☆
    Head up the windy staircase to the second floor and you'll find three additional bedrooms. The first bedroom immediately at the top of the stairs features a queen bed and a large walk-in closet. In the middle of the hall you’ll find the another bedroom with a twin bed, and a desk for remote workspace. On this floor you will find a large bathroom with a shower/tub combo. The master bedroom boasts a king bed, high ceilings, and a walk in closet with convenient laundry machines.

    ☆☆ OUTDOOR SPACE ☆☆
    Step outside and you will find a patio and a small fenced in yard area, a rare gem in the heart of Salem. There is also a bistro table for 2 for outdoor dining.

We LOVED this house. The pictures don't do it justice. Definitely stay here! It was gorgeous, every room has its own AC/mini split, and its spacious. The location is great. The host was very friendly and accommodating. I will say, the stairs are narrow and small. We had one person with us who has bad ankles and couldnt risk, but she stayed in the bedroom on the first floor so not an issue! Definitely stay here, and enjoy Salem! Highly recommend the boat tours in town!

This house is so cute! We loved the location, great for walking to downtown, but far enough out that it’s quiet and peaceful. Communication was fantastic, received our code to check in 48 hours prior to check in and very responsive to all of my questions. I would definitely book this house again

Salem trip

My family & I booked a trip to Salem and we desired to find a cute home that would accommodate 7 of us that was within walking distance of downtown Salem and we found just that in this home! The host was a great communicator & really was fantastic at making our stay welcoming and pleasant. We were able to walk to all the tourist sites and restaurants within a short amount of time. Would recommend staying here 10/10.

This was the favorite house of our 11 day vacation in 4 different VRBO rentals. The location was perfect. The house was clean with comfortable beds. The rental process, check in and check out was all handled well with the app they supply after booking. Parking was easy with the private driveway which is a big deal in downtown Salem. I would definitely stay at this location again. 2 out of 3 kids rated Salem as the best leg of our vacation.

This is a very quaint and lovely house in a fabulous location in walking distance to town. It was very clean with comfortable beds and had all the amenities one could wish for - including great AC. The host was very responsive and helpful.

Absolutely wonderful!

Stayed here with the family for a wedding and then stuck around a couple days to see the sights. Wonderful location since we were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go.

This was a good rental for a small family get together. We all like to cook and the kitchen is well stocked and with a island so that you can visit while cooking. It is so convenient to all of the shops and restaurants. I had a bit of trouble with the online security check in. Luckily my son was able to get me through it but it wasn't easy. Beyond that I totally recommend this.

Great Location

The property is very pretty, with a very nice floor plan. We loved how convenient we were to the water and downtown Salem. We walked into town, took the Trolley Tour, had some good drinks at The Village Tavern, while in town to celebrate our daughter's engagement. I highly recommend!!
