"My wife and I had a wonderful 1-night stay at Hotel Burg Wassenberg. We felt very welcomed by the wonderful staff, from personally showing us to our room to the restaurant staff going out of their way to ensure my wife had one more schnitzel before leaving Germany. All-in-all, it was a memorable moment on our vacation, after a series of forgettable budget hotels. And the historical town of Wassenberg is worth a visit, even though it’s off the beaten path. "The room was large and as we have large bags this room was fantastic. The bathroom is well laid out and the shower did not leak or flood (a bonus in Europe). The exercise room was spotless and had well looked after equipment but sadly the pool became unavailable a day before we arrived. The staff were excellent, very courteous and friendly. Would absolutely return here."

"The hotel is quite luxurious. It is exclusive to the guests. That is, others are not allowed in unless accompanied by a guest. It is strange that beverages are not allowed in the beautiful lobby area with the fireplace. There is also a separate very large living room with complementary snacks and beverages. However, alcoholic beverages are not allowed even if they are brought from the upstairs bar. They do serve Prosecco on request in this area. The breakfast buffet has a large variety of foods and is very good. The à la carte items on the breakfast menu were also very nice. We had drinks in the bar. The cocktails are very good. They have quite a few very interesting ones."
