"The entire hotel is outfitted with fascinating antiques and furniture pieces. The styling and decor is reminiscent of earlier times. Real wood entry door to the hotel with solid/heavy brass handles shaped as a bird's head. Great bar selection of whiskeys and cocktails, and very responsive staff. Southern charm at its finest. "The staff was pleasant, very nice, same as other reviews, there was the occasional nightly smoke alarm and fire department visit, the only real drawback is no real amenities kind of a trade-off, I moved to a different hotel for better amenities, but then the place I moved to smelled funny and was much older, lesson learned. I should’ve just stayed for the final three nights at Echo suites."
