House was very private with beautiful woods surrounding the home, even saw a family of deer in the driveway. Nice neighborhood and road was pretty easy to navigate. The house was very big, fully stocked and very clean! We would stay there again! Very close to ASU and downtown.
We had a great time at the cabin. It was close to Boone for going out to eat, and close enough to the ski slopes so we could go skiing. We really enjoyed the ping pong table in the garage!
This is a nice cabin that well maintained. It is obvious this is someone’s vacation home rather than just a rental property, because the appliances and furniture are what you would buy for yourself, not what you’d put in a property you don’t visit.
Close to everything but far enough out to feel remote. Came with a group of friends to go skiing which was only a 20 min drive to the slopes. The place had everything we needed to cook and relax in the hot tube.
Great log cabin, close to Ski resorts. Love the fire place, nice new comfy sectional couch. The hot tub is a nice addition, wish it was on the section of deck that was covered, wanted to use it after skiing, but it was freezing rain. They did offer us a late check out for free because of the freezing rain which was very nice and we took advantage of it. Would definitely stay here again!
Reservation and check in process were very easy. This property is well equipped in a private, quiet neighborhood. The fenced in backyard was perfect for the dogs. It made things much easier as we didn't have to put them on a leash when they wanted to go out.
If I was to make any suggestion for improvement, I would recommend that new towels, pillows and linens be upgraded.
We enjoyed our week in the mountains and especially liked the huge deck, picnic table, and hot tub The fuse on hot tub occasionally blew and needed to be flipped on /off but the maintenance crew was able to talk us through the specifics and they were responsive. It was about a 15 min drive to several beautiful hikes and to downtown Blowing Rock
The home was as described. Property Management was very receptive. The kitchen was equipped as well as most rentals, but we cook all our meals, so we had to wash pots and utensils as we went to use them again, but that is OK, as we know most people on vacation do not cook as much as we do. I will say, there should be enough towels for everyone, and there isn’t. We had 7 people, and had to constantly wash towels so everyone could shower. We would bring extra towels if we came back. Our main reason for our trip was to go to Sugar and Beech Mountain for skiing. It was not a long drive, so we liked the location. The hot tub was a treat after a long day of skiing. Roads are a bit windy and tight, all wheel or four wheel drive was nice to have! Great stay!

Not what it should be.
When we arrived, we discovered the two car garage was locked. There was a game table in the garage the kids wanted to use and it was advertised as part of the vacation rental. I attempted to resolve the matter the evening of arrival but was told this would be reported to the office and addressed the next morning. After waiting for a response from the office, I called in again and was told this was not reported by the person I spoke with prior. I was then transferred to someone where I had to leave a message. I called again about 30 minutes later, was told someone would come unlock it. The young man who came out was unable to unlock the door. Someone else came about an hour later who did unlock the garage. I reported the hot tub not working. The breaker had tripped and was reset. Again, the hot tub stopped operating correcting, this time it was a GFI. So this was reset. The gentleman who checked over the hot tub mentioned they had been having issues with this tub. The outdoor property around the home was a land mine of pet waste! While walking my dog on a leash for potty breaks, I had to clean up after previous pets, so as to protect my pet and to not step in waste myself. We cleaned up after our pet and previous visitors!!!!The kids could not play out around the house because of this. We had rain on our last night, and it literally ran down the interior wall which was located near the hot tub location. I reported the refrigerator and freezer were not staying cold. Items I had in the freezer were thawing. The young man who came to check the refrigerator said “it needed a new water filter but he just didn’t know.....”. All the staff I spoke with at the office were very kind and apologetic of the issues. I’m dissatisfied with the stay, it’s rather difficult to enjoy your vacation when you spend your time on the phone seeking assistance and being on the look out for maintenance staff to arrive.

Good stay but had some issues.
Everything was very clean and the house was very nice. The hot tub however did not work for whatever reason and the driveway iced over easily making it very unsafe for us to leave when we did. We slid down the driveway and luckily made it out okay.
Lovely house with all the comforts advertised. Easy travel distance to Boone and Blowing Rock for food etc and for exploring further afield. We couldn't get the hot tub working and left a message with the agent but we never did get it returned. But that was minor issue and probably user error!
Biggest issue for a vacation is the early morning wake up call from the neighbouring animals- cockerel was regular as clockwork from around 6.30am and then the dogs barking. Bring ear plugs and all will be good as everything else is in place for a good holiday.
We enjoyed our time at Brushy Fork - great location between Boone and Blowing Rock. Beds were comfortable, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing mountain getaway!
We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very clean and cozy. Only about 3 miles from downtown Boone but out in the mountains enough to enjoy the beauty of nature. It was roomier than expected with lots of couches and places to do a puzzle, cozy up with a good book and watch the snow fall. We also sat on the really nice covered porch to watch my daughter sled in the yard. I can imagine it would be really nice to hang out there in the summer too. The hot tub was also really nice. Had an issue turning the Hot tub on and the property company called back promptly to help. Got it solved and was able to enjoy the hot tub while the snow fell around us. A lovely place and we will definitely return again.
I have stayed in many pet friendly cabin type rentals in TN, NC, and SC. This was one of the best. The cabin had everything necessary for a short family weekend getaway. We enjoyed it all (except maybe hearing the neighbors Rooster very early each morning :/ ). One suggestion: to put some kind of toddler bed in that huge closet upstairs. It would be a perfect space for young kids that are too young to sleep in a big bedroom alone. Overall we loved the place. We would return for sure.
4J Getaway is in a great location, beds were very confortable with the exception of the sofa bed in the loft that seen better days. The cabin has all you need for a confortable stay . Everything was according to the description

Rock solid stay!
My family loves this property and has enjoyed the home twice this year already. It's close but feels far away. It has all the amenities we needed with a beautiful open porch with swing and rocking chair.
