About this property

Casa Centotrecento by Wonderful Italy

  • In the heart of Bologna’s historic center, the Centotrecento neighborhood offers the perfect balance of history, culture, and city life. Just a few minutes’ walk from the Two Towers, Piazza Maggiore, and the Central Station, it’s ideal for exploring the city without needing public transportation. Located next to the lively university district, it’s full of restaurants, traditional taverns, and quaint bars, while still offering quiet, authentically Bolognese corners.

The apartment features a living room furnished with a dining table, a double sofa bed, and an open kitchen. There is a bedroom with a queen-size bed and another with a French bed. Finally, the apartment layout is completed by a bathroom with a shower, bidet, and toilet, and a smaller bathroom with a shower and toilet.

*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival it may be required to pay a tourist tax, which varies according to local regulations. You will find your reservation details within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy.

Bologna, known as the "Dotta" because it is the seat of the oldest university in the West, the "Grassa" for its excellent food and wine and the "Rossa" colour that characterises the historic centre, is a wonderful city of art, culture and commerce. Its soul lies in its medieval historical centre, which is among the largest in Europe and full of taverns, shops and theatres, characterised by almost 40 km of arcades. In the historical centre is Piazza Maggiore, where the charm of the medieval buildings is perfectly combined with modernity. Not to be missed are Giambologna's Neptune Fountain and the Medieval Towers, the Asinelli and the Garisenda, part of a rich cultural heritage preserved in the numerous museums, galleries and religious buildings. It is impossible to leave Bologna without tasting its food and wine products, including mortadella, tortellini, ragù alla Bolognese accompanied by the well-known DOC wines of the Colli Bolognesi! Rich in exhibitions, fairs and cultural events, Bologna is a city that can surprise all year round.

Bologna Airport and Bologna Central Station are about 25 and 10 minutes by car from the accommodation, respectively.

The location of the property is good but that is the only positive. The pictures shown are not accurate as the apartment is dirty and worn. Drawers were broken and hanging down from dressers, the bathroom mirror was broken and falling down inside the frame, the walls and floors are scratched and stained, the rugs filthy and the bathroom showers have cheap plastic shower curtains that were ripped and did not stop the bathrooms from flooding. They stuck to our bodies as the showers are so small you can barely turn around and the bathroom floors were flooded daily as a result. The beds and pillows were so hard that I ended up with a stiff neck and left this prepaid apartment 2 days early since I was so uncomfortable. We were provided 1 set of towels per person for an 8 day stay. When I reached out to the property management company to ask when clean towels would be provided during our stay I was told that replacement towels were not included regardless of length of stay. Seriously? Because the shower curtain was ripped and the bathroom flooded, the bath mat was soaking wet during the entirety of our stay. The property description indicated a washer/dryer but the dryer they claim to have is a DRYING RACK....?? Overall, I feel like I was duped so wanted to make sure to share this review as had I known what I know now, I would have never booked this. Look elsewhere if you are interested in a clean and comfortable stay.
