Question 14

When is the best time to go to Bodrum?

Accepted Answer

The best time to visit Bodrum for pleasant weather and fewer crowds is during the shoulder seasons of May, early June, September, and October.

During these months, the weather is warm and sunny, with average temperatures ranging from 20°C to 28°C, making it ideal for exploring the town and enjoying the beaches without the intense heat of mid-summer. The sea temperature is also comfortable for swimming. You'll find that popular attractions, restaurants, and beaches are less crowded than in July and August, allowing for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience. Many hotels and services also offer better value during these times.

July and August are the peak summer months, with temperatures often exceeding 30°C. This period is the busiest, especially with European holidaymakers, so expect higher prices and more crowded venues. If you enjoy a lively option and don't mind the heat, this can still be a good time to visit, particularly for those looking for vibrant nightlife and beach parties.

For those interested in a quieter trip focused on historical sites and local culture, the late autumn (November) and early spring (April) offer cooler temperatures and very few tourists.
