"The location of the hotel is great. The rooms are big and very comfortable. The only issue is that they don’t provide almost any amenities. I asked for conditioner and body lotion and it never showed up. Not very responsive staff, otherwise the hotel is good. "

"We recently had the pleasure of staying at the newly opened Viceroy Ombria Algarve, and it exceeded our expectations in nearly every way.
From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome—genuinely friendly, attentive, and always eager to help without being intrusive. The architecture is truly a standout feature: modern yet rooted in the local aesthetic, with beautiful design touches throughout that made the entire property feel luxurious and unique.
The pools were absolutely incredible—serene, well-designed, and perfect for relaxing under the Algarve sun. The entire hotel is spotlessly clean, and every space feels modern and updated, clearly reflecting the care that went into its recent opening.
We also spent some time at the spa, which was nothing short of perfection. From the ambiance to the quality of treatments, it was a top-tier wellness experience.
The on-site restaurants were also excellent. Each meal we had was flavorful and beautifully presented, with a variety of options that catered to both local and international palates.
One important note for future guests: the hotel is located in the countryside, so it’s a good 30–45 minutes by car to the coastal Algarve towns and beaches. A rental car is definitely recommended if you plan to explore beyond the resort. That said, we actually appreciated being away from the busy tourist areas—it made for peaceful evenings and a more authentic connection to the region. We used the hotel as a relaxing base for day t"
