The open-concept layout keeps everyone close, whether you’re preparing meals or just hanging out. The fully equipped kitchen features high-end appliances, a wine fridge, six stools at the island, and a dining table for six — making it easy for everyone to gather, chat, and enjoy meals together with a view of the lake. When the weather invites you indoors, the living room is a cozy retreat. Plush leather couches are perfect for cuddling up on rainy days, and the gas fireplace and smart TV offer the perfect setup for movie nights or quiet afternoons. Central air conditioning keeps the space comfortable no matter the season. There’s even a ping pong table in the garage — a favorite spot for some friendly family competition. Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck’s outdoor living room, or gather at the picnic table or dining table for lakeside meals fresh off the gas BBQ. In the evening, cozy up around the firepit overlooking the lake, the perfect spot for roasting marshmallows and telling ghost stories under the stars. With private access to the lake and two kayaks included, adventure is always within reach. There’s also a playset for the kids to enjoy while you relax and take in the breathtaking views. Your private access takes you down to the shores of Lake Huron. NOTE: Approx. 80 stairs down to the beach. The lakebed can be sandy or stoney depending on what the lake gives you that day. But it sure is fun to try to find the ever changing sandbars. Generally you will find sand 3ft out. It's fun to go stone collecting - Lake Huron is a geologists paradise! Just bring some water shoes. The Cottage was even better in person than in the pictures . Sunset Ridge was very clean with all the essentials included with a beautiful upgraded kitchen and stunning view of the Lake .The primary bedroom had sliding doors onto the back deck and you could hear the waves crashing . The upstairs was very private and our daughter had the wing to herself . The back deck included plenty of comfortable seating , awnings for shade and a hammock to relax in . The muskoka chairs surrounding the fire pit was a huge gathering spot to roast marshmallows and watch the breathtaking sunsets . The 60 steps led to a very private part of St Joesph’s beach with very calm, clear water before 50km winds created amazing waves. The family really enjoyed the ping pong tournaments in the bonus garage room . We rent a cottage in the area every year and Sunset Ridge has everything we were looking for in a cottage and we will be making a return trip for sure ! ##### Richard M. The backyard being fully enclosed and quite large meant lots of room for our kids and dog to play. The private beach was fantastic and is where we spent most of our time!
