It was the perfect location for our family vacation. You do hear traffic as the cabin is close to the road but it did not bother us. Within walking distance to restaurant and plenty of trails to walk our dogs.
We enjoyed the cabin very much. It rained the entire time but, honestly, we loved the silence and listening to the rain on the roof. The layout was perfect for just hanging out, watching movies and enjoying the break from busy day to day life.
My wife and I wanted a simple mountain weekend with the dog. This cabin was exactly what we were looking for. The cabin and location were perfect.
The only challenge we had was the initial navigation because we got in after dark. The layout of the area is a bit confusing at first, so the instructions to navigate are pretty crucial. But once we found our way the first time, it was smooth sailing after.
The town is impeccable. The entire property is clean. There are trails as well as sidewalks. The stores and restaurants seemed to always be closed when we wanted to stop in so we never got to check those out. The cabin was in a secluded area and very quiet. Once you find the cottages designated parking spot it makes the walk to the cabin much easier. The town is very close and there are plenty of restaurants and shops. Overall we had a great stay and it was a great retreat for a week.
This place was so nice! It was perfect for my husband and me. The community was perfect as well. There are restaurants within walking distance. The cabin was clean and tidy.
Cabin is a short walk from the village and is comfy little place. Only issue I had was with the ac. I like to sleep fairly cool and the thermostat had instructions not to adjust below 72 due to the unit freezing up.

Great cabin!!
My family of 4 loved the cabin! Just enough space for us. It was super clean. My only recommendation would be better outdoor lighting at night. Parking is up the hill and a bit of a walk from the cabin and the outdoor landscape lights were never on at night when we were arriving home for the night. Made for an extremely dark walk.
Propert was nice. Location odd. Needs better path to house and step needs work. Better instructions for locating house and operation of television. Cabin was in very good shape. Garbage situation is odd. Needs a better way of handling garbage and recycle.
Property was in poor repair. Front door entrance step needs major repair. Front door lock broken. Dorm size refrigerator, no freezer, AC limited to 72 degrees, no screen on deck sliding door, shower curtain rod kept falling. One thing that has to be pointed out to potential visitors is that there is a very steep walk path to the cabin from the parking area. Lugging things up and down that hill is not much fun.
This was a well appointed bungalow. Had all we needed in the kitchen. Only thing I couldn’t have that would have liked to have was ice. The fridge had a tiny freezer. That being said, I knew it was a little fridge before I got there. Nice decor. Loved the covered deck. We kept our door open and the dogs enjoyed sitting outside. Beds were comfortable. And the neighborhood is adorable!!! We loved walking to the little grocery and the restaurants. I also enjoyed the walking trails. Would love to come back!
We had a great stay at the cabin. Directions sent to us were accurate and it was easy to get to the location. We had no noise issues and felt like we were further from the road than we actually were. The cabin had anything we needed for our short stay, and the beds were comfortable. The only downside we had is the listing sounded like we got tickets for all guests for the Biltmore, but it is only 1 ticket per day, and can not combine- if that is a deciding factor, I think that needs to be more clear for others. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay!
We've stayed in various places throughout Black Mountain and particularly in Cheshire. We love Cheshire. This was our first stay in a place managed by Carolina Properties. And, this stay was a disappointment. The place wasn't as clean as I would've expected. For example, the microwave showed remnants of whatever was cooked in there before our arrival, there was a white fuzzy stuff draping over the window frame above the porch doors, the bathroom fan was laden with mold and linty fluff, the ceiling fan clicked loudly when in use (so you couldn't sleep with it on) and hadn't been dusted in ages, and none of the windows had screens so you couldn't enjoy the fresh cool air without inviting knats and flies, so prevalent in the woods, to the inside. For the price I expected more.

3 Night Stay
Upside: Really nice cabin, beautiful neighborhood to walk our two small dogs, grocery store and Black Mtn town are literally minutes away.
Downside: at the cabin-sitting on the back deck you hear the cars/trucks zooming by constantly, the main road to Bat Cave is right below, and we kept hearing the lawn service blowers etc- not quiet/peaceful on the porch-perhaps the price to pay to be close to town
