"Even though check in time is 4 pm, we were able to get into our room just after 2. This was great for us as we had just stayed the previous night in Hood River. We got to the resort at around noon and had time to kill, so went into town, if you can call it that. But we found a bakery across from the fire station and got a small bite to eat. Right next door was a gift shop and an Ace Hardware. I was going to try the hot mineral springs pool, but decided not to. The room was very large and more than meet our needs."

"This was a great location walking distance to the Cougar store and Cougar bar and grill. Near the Ape Caves (15 min), Lahar Point and Lava Canyon (20 min), plus only and hour to Lewis Falls. the listing was as pictured, cozy, big enough for us and our teens. we had everything we needed plus the firepit was nice and the area was quiet. Great jumping off point for Mt. St Helens exploration and the host was super responsive."

"The office door was locked at 5:00pm. There was a note saying “ring doorbell. If no one comes in 1 minute call the phone number!” After a long day on the road I was not excited about this. Once the “mop haired” young man came to the door I was informed my room was not yet ready. Keep in mind check time was 3:00pm! Once I got to my room I found it relatively clean. The bed was comfortable. Other note: no condiments for coffee. Fortunately I bought my own."

"This property was more than what we expected. It was an elegant, peaceful and private place to stay. Host was one of the best we have ever worked with. Amenities of property 10/10 (or higher). Had everything anyone would need in way of kitchen, bathroom, bed, outside space and laundry (everything appears to be brand new, not worn out in the least). Updated features 15/10 (heated bathroom floor, high-end fixtures, aesthetics very well thought out. Would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Hood River/Cascade Locks area."
