This was just the place, heaven, quiet, beautiful & in with nature. Photographs dream for birds & wildlife. Dog friendly & plenty of walks from the cottage. Cottage beautifully clean, area tidy & beautifully maintained. Martin was a great helpful guy. We just loved it there & will definitely be going again. Thanks Martin. x

This little cottage was perfect for us. It felt remote but was close to the North Coast.

Entspannte Tage in wunderbarer Umgebung
Jederzeit gerne wieder!

Idyllic piece of paradise
We stayed Monday to Friday at Whitsun and wanted somewhere comfortable to come back to after visiting as much of North Devon as we could. We got all that and more. The cottage was well looked after, clean, comfortable and incredibly peaceful. Martin was very helpful and always had a smile. Everything was in the cottage that you could possibly want and the cream tea, chocolates and fresh flowers were delightful and very thoughtful. We had an amazing break and look forward to returning soon.

fantastic spot for some R&R
Cottage was well equipped, even down to providing wine, chocolates and fixings for a cream tea on arrival. This is a nature lovers paradise with countless birds at the feeder, bird food supplied, deer roaming the garden and a t night skills so clear we saw several planets and even a meteor. A short break but we never wanted to leave.

Excellent cottage; excellent location.
We stayed in Windbury cottage for a week in September and had a great week. We have been renting holiday cottages, mainly in Devon and Cornwall for about 30 years and Yapham Cottages stand out as a great find. From the start with the comprehensive information, booking, planning/tips, to the warm welcome and superb facilities, Martyn seems to have thought of everything. The cottages are in a great location for visiting the area and coastline, either walking or by car, and they are well equipped for simply relaxing, enjoying the gardens, surrounding woods and pond. We would highly recommend a visit!

Great stay
We stayed in the Windbury cottage. We arrived much later than expected but Martin was still very welcoming.
Very nice touch with the scones, chocolate, wine, clotted cream, jam, flowers etc. The kitchen is fully stocked with every utensil you can think of. The area is very peaceful and beautiful and extremely well kept, we noticed Martin working very hard to keep the area beautiful.
Our kids got into the James Bond DVDs that were provided free of charge while my wife and I read books on our tablets. All in all we could not fault the cottage nor the service. We would definitely stay again.

Home is where the Hartland is...
If you have never visited the Hartland Peninsula in North Devon (which we had not) or you are a regular we can thoroughly recommend Yapham Cottages. There are three lovely cottages (2 Dog Friendly) in a very secluded location. Each cottage remains sufficiently separate to give you the peace and quiet you desire. The cottages are all very clean, spacious and the manager, Martin provides some welcome goodies such as a Devon Cream tea and a bottle of wine and chocolates. The Website is excellent and the booking process very efficient and well communicated. There is an orchard and another meadow for exercising the dog and the local walks and those a little further afield are easily accessed and take your breath away. At night there is no light pollution so the stars on a clear night (and we had a few) are a wonder to behold. I would definitely recommend Yapham and the Hartland area as a place to visit for walkers and in my case golfers as Royal North Devon and Saunton are in easy reach.
