All the rooms are on one level, with 1 small step into the kitchen. The barn features a large lounge, dining room and kitchen, bathroom with large walk-in shower and double sinks, airconditioning in the bedrooms, and underfloor heating throughout supplied from the environmentally friendly wood pellet biomass heating. This south facing barn looks out over the ornamental garden from its two private patios (one looking over the walled garden, and one looking over the ornamental courtyard garden), and is adjacent to the large 1,500m² walled garden. High Park Barns has a secure, purpose-built 1 acre dog exercise field located on site. Designed with safety, freedom, and fun in mind, our fully enclosed field, with 1.8m high fencing, offers dogs the perfect space to run, play, and train off-lead in a safe and private environment. The dog field is open daily in the morning and evening for staying guests at no cost. Additional time can be booked during the day. The barns at High Park were built in the early 1900's, shortly after the main house was built in the mid 1840’s. It offers easy access to beaches, moors, coastal path walks, cycle paths, golf courses, horticultural gardens, children friendly fun parks, and many other traditional outdoor and indoor recreational activities for those seeking a truly relaxing, yet active, break away from the stresses of day-to-day life. The barn is situated with 14 acres of private land. Within the grounds is a shared indoor swimming pool and hot-tub, and large natural lake featuring stunning vegetation and decked terrace. The barn has access to four 7.2kW electric vehicle (EV) destination chargers. The properties are lovely and modern still with the charm of a barn, great facilities especially being able to use the pool and hot tub 24/7\. The grounds are really nice with walled gardens which are secure and there are further grounds you can explore with a lake and dog fields. Can't recommend this enough, will certainly be back. Anne-Louise is a great host, the barn was stocked with everything we could possibly have needed and the beds were so comfortable. There was lots of space for us to relax in. The pool was fabulous, it was lovely to have it to ourselves for a bit each day. We loved exploring the lake and the trampoline was a bonus! The instructions leading up to check-in were spot on. The owners were friendly and very helpful. It is clear that as it is a family run business there is a real personal touch to their service which makes all the difference. The site itself was beautiful, well kept to a very high standard and very quiet. It is also a perfect base and we visited Westward Ho and Clovelly during our stay. Atlantic Village Outlet shopping centre is also only a 2 minute drive away, which our Daughters loved. The highlight has to be the pool and hot tub facilities which can be used 24 hours on a timetabled system so you can always have the pool to yourself with your family. Very clear instructions on how to get here and check in. Very thoughtful and helpful hosts. Welcome cream tea on arrival. Bottle of milk waiting for you from local farm. Barn spotlessly clean and sofa and beds most comfortable, has dishwasher, washing machine, ironing board and iron. Swimming pool and jacuzzi a real asset and very well looked after. We stayed in the Sheldon Barn and everything exceeded our expectations. From the very warm welcome received, the comfort of the barn, all the personal touches that were waiting for us on our arrival were much more than we could have expected. If you want to recharge your batteries I would recommend a stay here. We will definitely book again.
