"A wonderful lodge for the last night in France 🇫🇷 we wish we could have stayed longer.
My children loved the little hide away bedroom and the roll top bath.
Clemence offered an excellent dinner recommendation at a local craft beer tap room. The food was divine! As was the beer.
We would highly recommend this accommodation."

"Very nice property. Our room was quite spacious. It is about a twenty minute, flat walk to the downtown Bayeux. We used this area as a good mid point to visit the D-Day Beaches, Honfleur , Mont St Michel etc."

"Room was basic but not unexpected. Shower was good if a little difficult to angle downwards. Breakfast was nice and enjoyed the overnight stay. Bed was good and pillows just right."

The hotel was a chateau which had been completely refurbished about a year ago. Restaurant was great as was the breakfast. However the room we chose was a de lux garden view room but was far from being a garden view it looked over the court yard. The manager did offer to change our room the second night but as we were only there 2 nights I declined but he did treat us to cocktails so no complaints. The bedrooms are large with a great walk in monsoon showers but the bed although king size was...

Clean and functional room with air conditioning. Towels and soap included. No kettle for hot drinks. A pay for hot & cold drinks / snack machine in the foyer. A good selection of continental breakfast with excellent coffee / hot drinks dispenser. Friendly staff with reasonable / good English. A clean hotel with plenty of parking. Easy to find on outskirts of Saint Lo. There was an ok Italian restaurant next door and a grill restaurant on the same block. A McDonald restaurant near by.

Amazing, comfortable, immaculate, modern and spacious, an absolute gem within a quiet, historic, picturesque setting with welcoming and friendly hosts. Truly great breakfast featuring local produce. Town, museums and restaurants a short drive away.

Lovely breakfast and the owner/host was very friendly and helpful. Located in very quiet countryside.
Bed very comfortable and slept well and property very clean.
Our labrador didn't like the open stairs and so had to carry her, but very pet friendly.

Very quiet location but near enough to the Normandy beaches and ferry terminal at Caen.
We had a lovely big bedroom and en-suite in Tom's well renovated home.
All the breakfast options were tempting but we went down the croissant, pain au chocolat, crusty bread route.
Tom was very friendly and attentive. We hope to return when next in the area.

We had a lovely stay. The owners were very nice and helpful and made an extra effort to provide me with gluten-free crepes at breakfast. The rest of the breakfast was also excellent. I would recommend it and will stay there again if I am in the area.

Beautiful place - very clean and comfortable. Probably the most comfortable bed over an 18 night tour. Owner is very helpful and polite - lovely breakfast provided by him. Have stayed here before and came back which is a recommendation in itself. Five stars.

Our stay at Le Clos St Jean was wonderful! Caroline and Laurent are friendly and warm, and they take good care of the property and their guests. I was blown away by the beauty of their place. The fresh, warm croissants, pastries, bread, yogurts, cheese, and fruit, along with the local juices and jams, made for a wonderful breakfast. I only wish we would have had more time to spend relaxing in their lovely space. If I find myself in Normandy again, I will definitely have to stay here another...

A quiet, well-being, professional, horse loving retreat from the demands of our busy life around London.
The views, room, healthy locally sourced meals and care in presentation are a delight.
Highly recommended as a time for Oneself. The Spa and Salt water pool were an integral part of our relaxing time here. We will definitely be returning! Thank you Vanessa and Jean-William of,
Le Haras d'Havetot

What a find - a beautiful chateau in lovely gardens and surroundings. Lovely big bedroom and bathroom with robes, slippers, fluffy towels & good selection of toiletries, comfy bed. The breakfast was amazing & possibly the best we’ve ever had. It was served by a very friendly lady starting with a fresh beautifully presented fruit salad. I had freshly cooked scrambled eggs followed by continental breakfast with delicious pastries & croissants etc. We hope to return one day!

The best area to stay in Berigny is in the heart of the town centre, particularly around the main square, Place de l'Église.
This central area is the focal point of Berigny, with the historic Église Saint-Pierre standing prominently. You'll find a selection of local shops, bakeries, and traditional Norman restaurants lining the Rue de l'Église and Rue du Commerce, making it very convenient for daily needs and dining. It's a compact and walkable area, superb for experiencing the local community.
For couples seeking a relaxing and authentic Norman experience, staying in the town centre is ideal. You'll be within easy reach of the local market, which often takes place near the church, and can enjoy leisurely strolls through the historic streets. It offers a good base for exploring the local area.
Families might also find the town centre appealing due to the proximity of amenities and the relatively quiet surroundings.
When is the best time to go to Berigny?
The best time to visit Berigny is between May and September when the weather is generally warm and pleasant, great for exploring the region.
During these months, the days are longer, and you'll find most local attractions, restaurants, and shops open with extended hours. This period is ideal for couples looking to enjoy leisurely strolls through the countryside or along the coast.
For families, the summer months of July and August are particularly good. The warmer temperatures are great for enjoying outdoor activities, visiting beaches, and taking part in local festivals that often take place during this peak season.
