Casa Mariposa is an exclusive house in one of the best areas of Poniente Beach - often described as “Millionaire’s Benidorm.”
Casa Mariposa has a very large living room of over 70m square meters. There are 3 private bedroom suites, each with a private bathroom equipped with walk-in rainfall showers. You'll find fresh clean bedding and towels for your stay.
Your holiday is unique in that it has 2 outside dining areas, a refreshing plunge pool (note, not a full sized swimming pool), plenty of sun beds and 3 outside terraces, 2 overlooking the sea and Benidorm. The main terrace has a BBQ, the plunge pool, a covered dining area with a stone table and lots of space to relax and enjoy the Spanish sun. Of course, Casa Mariposa has parasols and sheltered areas should you need time out of the sun as well! To cool down you’ll have the pool plus a solar powered shower. The terrace is lit at night; perfect for a meal with family or friends.
The top sun-deck can be reached via stairs via the main outside terrace and via the Butterfly suite, the largest of the 3 bedroom suites. Here you can sunbathe in private in the sun or shield yourself from the midday rays under the electronically operated parasol. The sun deck also has another seating area with new garden furniture for 2022 - you might enjoy the sunset over the sea whilst drinking a few cocktails.
The elevated position of Casa Mariposa means the sea views are simply stunning. The sun rises over Benidorm town early in the morning and the entire bay is laid out for all guests to enjoy from the start of the day to the sunset and the lights of the town at night.
Benidorm is a large, busy resort, however, Casa Mariposa is very, very peaceful in the day and in the night. When you stay at Casa Mariposa, each night will be quiet. The villa benefits from no passing highways or traffic. The roads are the preserve of people who need to be in the area. If you need a quiet night’s sleep you’ll find it here. Each of the beds have super high quality mattresses and high quality bedding. Also, each bathroom is private. There is plenty of space in each bedroom for luggage, hanging space and draws for all your clothes.
Uniquely, Casa Mariposa has 2 very large living areas. The huge sofas mean you and everyone in your party can sit and socialise inside as well as outside. On the living room TV you can access Spanish TV, Netflix (all languages) Moviestar TV where you can even set the language to any one of many European languages. Of course there’s internet WiFi everywhere and it's superfast fibre. You can all log on and everyone will be able to access Facebook, streaming services like radio, tv and even work emails I’d you really need to ‘stay in touch’. The mobile phone or cell reception is great too, every major network can be picked everywhere in the house and outside.
The large, hand-made, modern kitchen includes brilliant black granite work tops, a large American fridge freezer (with filtered water-ice box awaiting repair) and every modern appliance including a dishwasher, multi-function microwave and a range of appliances such as coffee maker, hand blenders and much more. You’ll find matching pure white tableware, matching cutlery and useful things like; jugs, serving dishes… everything you need for dining in, everything you need for a party in your own holiday home. Of course, the outside gas fired bbq compliments the kitchen. Equipped with three burners, you could cook an entire meal for 10+ on it alone. You can choose to eat inside the house on the English oak crafted dining table or one of 2 outside dining tables. You’re spoilt for choice!
At each stage during refurbishment (because the house was originally meant for us to live there) we chose the best of everything; electric blinds on every window and door, air-conditioning throughout the villa, video entrance system, German engineered low energy lighting, a high speciation kitchen and expensive fittings like Italian stone tiles, oak stairs etc etc.
If you have particular requirements whilst you stay at Casa Mariposa, just ask. We can provide a cot, high chair, extra beds in the lower living area, private garaged parking and so on at a nominal cost. We will even consider accommodating a well behaved dog.
When designing the house, we included a large bedroom suite on the main floor to help people who may have mobility problems. The Garden Suite can be accessed straight from the living room, it even has an extra-wide door. The space around the bed makes it easier to access as does the bathroom with a floor-level walk-in shower. The living room is accessed by the main terrace which is at street level. This means anyone with walking difficulties will be extremely happy at Casa Mariposa.
NEW for 2022 : GYM and CINEMA ROOM
Casa Mariposa now has a small gym with a cross-trainer, exercise bike, a small set of weights, work out bench, rowing machine, gym balls and exercise matts.
In the same room is the Cinema with a 65 inch TV, sofas and even a suspended swinging chair! Our plan is to add a football table... watch this space.
SETTING
Benidorm offers everything you’d want on a holiday. Poniente beach has been judged one of the best in the whole world. It is cleaned every night and there are plenty of sunbeds and parasols.
Poniente beach is in front of Casa Mariposa. A short walk down the steps to the beach is cleaned daily, the water has a pleasant temperature and is also honoured each year with the blue flag for excellent water quality. We don’t supply beach chairs and umbrellas and so on but they can be rented out for a small charge on the beach.
While the opposite bay from Levante beach is known for dazzling nightlife with bars, clubs and discos, the Poniente beach is preferred by families and during the night you can rest without being disturbed by noise.
The house is on a quiet road where you can park your car. A private garage underneath the house and is available at an extra charge. This might not always be available. Please ask. Within walking distance, you find various shops and there is a nearby Mercadona Supermarket which has everything you’ll need. The fish counter is epic - fresh fish and seafood every day. There are also bakeries, pharmacies, magazines and tobacco shops and beach boutiques. You can reach weekly markets, large supermarkets and shopping centres by bus or car.
There are also bars and restaurants near the villa in walking distance. Also, you’ll find it easy to walk to La Cala Finestrat, another bay with a beach and loads of restaurants and bars.
The walk into the centre of Benidorm takes about 35 minutes. We often set out as the sun begins to set and stroll along the beach and end up with a few drinks in the Old Town. It is another 15 minutes to the New Town if you walk on. That said, there are regular busses which you catch by the nearby Gran Bali Hotel where you can also hail taxis.
You'll find Casa Mariposa perfect for many types of holidays. It is especially good for families or for groups of friends. However, if its the razzle dazzle of Benidorm you are looking for - you might want to rent a property on Levante Beach or in the new town. The house isn't really suitable for younger groups. Also, the stunning views means Casa Mariposa is higher up meaning there are quite a few steps to the beach.

POINTS TO BRING TO YOUR ATTENTION
The area where the house is situated has plenty of shops, nice bars and restaurants but it is not a party area. Walking to the Old Town is easy along the beach but the New Town is a little further. Of course, there are plenty of busses and taxis.
Our little pool is great to cool down in. It is only 1.5x3 metres and is 1 metre deep. It cannot be used as a swimming pool. We are seeking permission to build a bigger pool.
Casa Mariposa has spectacular views from its elevated position. You can see the main town of Benidorm to the left if you are looking out to sea. You can see the beach and the uninterrupted view is spectacular especially in the morning and as the sun sets. However, this means that there are a number of steps to the beach which may challenge some.
We seldom host same sex groups who seek a base - often for Hen and Stag parties. The position of Casa Mariposa means that party seeking groups may find it inconvenient.

#### Easter holidays
We all had a great stay. Bedroom off kitchen was occupied by our older niece, she has disabilities. My daughter and husband with their 2 children were upstairs all together. My husband and I were downstairs. Being in our early 70’s and late 60’s we both felt the lack of a toilet downstairs resulted in a climb upstairs. In saying that we are both fit enough to tackle the stairs.

Stayed here with my family of 6, recently and have to say..... what an amazing time we had at Casa Maripossa. Everything is well thought out and has everything you need for a really relaxing break. The house is very clean and the sea views from the deck are amazing... the beach is also very beautiful and only a 5 minute walk away, down some stairs. Very homely and very spacious, we had more than enough space for 6 of us. Everyone had a brilliant time! We were also allowed to stay later, as we had a late flight home, which was very helpful and much appreciated!! Will definitely be back! Thank you!

The property was lovely great views. Plenty of room for everyone. Great outside space upstairs and downstairs. The plunge pool was a lovely addition to the property. Everything was so clean and comfortable. Alex who greated us was a great help and very nice. Was able to organise taxi's to and from the airport through messaging David. David always responded to our messages and answered our questions. Great Holiday, Great Property. Would definitely stay there again.

#### Fantastic holiday!
We all had a fantastic holiday, great location with amazing views. Accessing and leaving the property were very smooth and during our stay there is plenty to do locally. Easy access to the beach and much to do if just chilling out at the house. Would love to return sometime...

#### Great overall experience
The property was fantastic and the views too!! Very close to beach also the shops and restaurants where around the corner near to hotel Bali where there was taxi and a bus service. Casa Mariposa had two lovely terraces to enjoy the sun, 3 double bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms. Even a snooker room in basement, everything about it was great. Also there was another little beach about 10 mins walk away with a few shops and bars there.

#### Beautiful Home in a wonderful location
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful, Modern house. The views of the sea are exceptional! The house has everything you could possibly need, the beds are very comfortable and lots of outside furniture. The host, neighbours and cleaner are very friendly and helpful. The terraces loose the sun late afternoon which was disappointing and a huge shame so make the most of the early daytime sunshine. We would highly recommend this property.

#### Casa Mariposa
We had a great stay at Casa Mariposa. The house was fantastic with all it’s facility’s, and well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. We were specially satisfied with the bedroom solution and the connecting bathrooms. The kitchen and barbecue made it easy to enjoy home cooking, and we used it a lot during our stay. The supermarket near by, within a 7 minute walk also has a great selection of groceries, fresh fish, meat and drinks. It is also quite cheap compared to Scandinavian prices. The beach is wonderful and clean, and a 5 minute walk from the house, some stairs down. Overall this is a very nice place which we enjoyed, and we would be happy to come back some other time.

#### Very nice expirience
This house is located in a convenient and quiet neighbourhood. There is only about 5-10 minutes walk to the beach down the stairs. The house itself is very spacious and it has a beautiful view from the second floor. It has a nice big basement with a fitness and for evening entertainment. There is a small pool that was just perfect for the kids to enjoy. We have checked in at 23:00 without any issues. Despite being so late, the neighbour greeted us and showed us around the house without any problem. The house overall wa very nice, clean. It is a perfect stay for family with kids. The owner and the neighbours were making sure that we have everything that we need it during the stay. We are definitely recommending David and his house. We are hoping to stay there again.

#### Amazing place in a wonderful location with stunning views.
The Casa is a wonderful place with such great facilities, space, views and location. First up it's easy to find and there is parking in front of the house, this was a great start. The codes to enter were simple and the process was smooth. The house is large and beautifully decorated and laid out well. Big kitchen and lounge and dining room with a cool basement with workout gear and a massive TV which kept my boy entertained in the evenings. The bedrooms are big and all ensuite and superbly appointed, but the master bedroom is to die for. Big bed and lovely ensuite but the main thing is the view and it's own terrace with one of the best views of Benidorm and the rock you could ask for. I spent most nights up their with a glass of wine and good book decompressing from a day on the beach, a beach which is just a quick walk down the steps or a 5 minute pram push away down the hill. Then there is the ground floor terrace which has a lovely outdoor seating area, a plunge pool which my boy loved and let me cool off. The entire family loved the pool and agreed it was a must have in the heat. There was a gas BBQ which was a great and we used several times. In a nutshell the place is brilliant and has everything you could want and more. The house is a 45 min stroll to the old town or a 9 euro cab ride. Worth it for the peace and quiet. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Worth every penny!

This property was extensively remodelled a few years ago but is showing signs of usage, wear and tear. The beds are very comfortable however, the basement is not fit to be used as a bedroom. It has been subjected to long-term water damage, the walls have cracks/damp patches and there is an overpowering smell. The basement has a clever design feature in that it contains an apartment used by the owner who through an adjoining door can access the villa at any time. The Kitchen is compact however, the fridge freezer does not supply ice and water. We noticed wiring at the side of the fridge had been stripped back held together with black tape and some wall sockets in the living space were not working. Transport and shops are within walking distance. The view from the property is impressive. There is an overall lack of privacy, adjoining property's overlook the sitting/pool area and the road in front of the villa is used during the day by those visiting the beach. The boundary wall of the property is shoulder height so passers by view directly into the property. The plunge is just that measuring approximately 4 metres in length and 1 metre deep. There is no handrail for support on climbing up into the pool making the area precarious for small children or those with mobility problems. Netflix was unavailable but we were able to access amazon prime.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in der Unterkunft sehr genossen. Alles war ausgesprochen sauber und gepflegt, was für ein rundum angenehmes Wohngefühl gesorgt hat. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der wunderschöne Ausblick – einfach traumhaft!Die gesamte Unterkunft war klimatisiert, was an heißen Tagen sehr angenehm war. Eine Klimaanlage, die zu Beginn defekt war, wurde umgehend und unkompliziert ausgetauscht – der Service war wirklich hervorragend. Auch auf Rückfragen wurde stets schnell und freundlich reagiert.Wir würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen und können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit!Anbei noch ein Foto von dem wunderschönen Ausblick der Dachterrasse.

#### Séjour entre amis
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans la maison de David. Alex nous a très bien accueilli et ce dernier a toujours été présent et nous a toujours répondu lorsque nous avions besoin, il est très sympathique et nous le remercions. Nous avons fortement apprécié la climatisation dans la maison, car il fait très chaud sur cette période d'été. Toutefois nous avons quelques remarques à formuler. Je pense qu'il est nécessaire de revoir le descriptif de l'annonce. En effet, il est indiqué, qu'un garage est disponible avec la maison, ce qui n'est pas le cas, ayant un véhicule relativement grand nous avions demandé a avoir le garage et ce n'était pas possible. Nous y avons séjourné du 11 au 25 aout et il est très difficile de se garer dans la rue. il n'y a pas de place disponible sur cette période. De plus il est indiqué la présence d'un billard ce qui n'est pas le cas. Nous avions choisi cette location entre autre pour ces prestations et elles n'y sont pas. Toutefois la maison est très agréable à vivre et nous y avons passé un très bon séjour. La terrasse à l'étage est très agréable pour y prendre l'apéritif le soir ou bien se reposer sur les transats avec une vue magnifique.

#### Fantastiskt boende med magisk utsikt
Mycket trevligt boende, exemplariskt rent och välutrustat hus. Lätt att få kontakt med hyresvärden som är ytterst mån om att man som gäst ska trivas. Närhet till strand och restauranger. Bra att veta att det är trappor som leder ner till strandpromenaden och restauranger om man har begränsningar i att röra sig. Goda bussförbindelser in till Benidorm och Old Town. Kan varmt rekommendera det här boendet.

#### Un muy buen sitio y una buena casa para veranear
En lineas generales muy satisfechos con la casa, tan solo algunos detallitos que habria que mejorar. Muy limpio todo salvo la piscina, que era muy pequeña, tanto dentro como en el jardin. La casa bonita, decorada de manera simple pero con gusto, los sofas y las camas muy comodos, los baños todos limpios, bonitos y funcionales. Las duchas geniales y muy amplias en todos los dormitorios. La cocina amplia y bien equipada. Varios sitios para ver las vistas y tomar algo muy agradables y bien preparados. Tuvimos un problema con la TV que no se veia y nos lo solucionaron en pocos minutos. Fispone de una barbacoa de gas comodisima que usamos y disfrutamos mucho. El anfitrion muy atento a cualquier necesidad y con buena comunicaccion. Las unicas cosillas que estarian a mejorar es la limpieza de la piscina y que el aire acondicionado de la sala de ocio no funcionaba con lo que la hacia imposible estar en ella al ser un sotano, una pena.. Pero muy contentos y satisfechos de haber elegido casa mariposa para nuestra semana en Benidorm.

#### Pure Entspannung
Der Urlaub war sehr entspannt. Wir konnten bei kleineren Problemchen jeder Zeit Alex, unseren Ansprechpartner, vor Ort ansprechen. Unser Vermieter David, ist netterweise auf unsere Ankunftszeiten und Abflugszeiten eingegangen, so konnten wir früher in die Unterkunft und diese auch später verlassen. Zusammenfassend wurde darauf geachtet, dass wir uns rundum wohlfühlen und das haben wir auch getan.

#### Sehr schöner Ort
Sehr schöner Ort , perfekte, ruhig , Zentrum schnell zu erreichen. Der Strand ist über die Treppen gut zu erreichen, sehr schöner Sand und Wasser. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und für 6 Personen perfekt geeignet. Bei Fragen konnten wir jederzeit schnell eine Info vom Vermieter bekommen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Jag valde detta boende för att jag kände att det skulle vara perfekt för mig och min familj då jag ville bjuda dem på en resa för att fira min födelsedag. Innan vi kom fram var jag lite nervös över att annonsen hade gjort att mina förväntningar på huset var för höga. Jag hade absolut inte behövt vara nervös för det var precis så bra som jag hade hoppats. Vi var åtta personer, både vuxna och små barn, och vi alla trivdes utmärkt. Huset hade alla bekvämligheter vi behövde för en avslappnad semester. Sovrummen kändes lyxiga med privata badrum och sängarna var stora och bekväma. Utsikten från det stora sovrummet på övervåningen är svårslagen! Poolen och duschen på uteplatsen var ett stort plus i värmen. Området är tyst och lugnt och om man inte har något emot att gå i trappor så finns en underbar sandstrand fem minuter bort. Grannarna var väldigt trevliga och hjälpsamma och svarade på de frågor vi vi hade. Värden fanns tillgänglig och svarade snabbt på meddelanden. Jag skulle utan tvekan rekommendera detta boende för en lugn och skön semester!
