We got off on the wrong foot at this hotel - the check-in line was barely moving, so an employee directed us to check in on the 29th floor. We went up the glass elevator and were waited on right away. We were a little early, so they held our bags and we went downstairs for lunch. After an hour, we went back up and our bags were still there, but we were told our room was all set. The keys didn't work on the first trip, then when they finally did work, the room was indeed not ready. We went back again and were given a new room. In America, the hotel staff would have tried to give an upgrade or something because of the inconvenience, but it is apparently not something they do in China.
Besides all of this, our stay was good. The room was clean, but the bed was a typical Chinese bed - very hard. The location was convenient to the subway, a mall and some good restaurants.
