"The house was great, like stepping back into history. Location was fantastic. Beds were small and not very comfortable. The hot water heater was not very efficient. Could not take a bath and a shower at the same time without running out. FYI, the stairs to the loft are very steep, probably not great for really young children. If the beds and the hot water issues were resolved, I would give it five stars."

"We had such a wonderful stay in Glen Arbor! The property was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location was perfect and made it easy to enjoy everything Glen Arbor and the surrounding area have to offer.The host was friendly, responsive, and made the whole experience easy from start to finish. We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable place to stay in Glen Arbor. We would love to come back!"

"Had a great stay in Glen Arbor at this condo in The Homestead! Unit was very nice and clean and as described in the listing. It was a bit humid/musty in the unit, but after opening the windows and airing it out and running the a/c, it was fine (being from FL, we loved having a/c). The area was just stunning and we had a great time exploring Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park and other areas of northern Michigan including Traverse City and Mackinac Island. We had a great dinner at Nonna's restaurant at The Homestead too. This unit was priced much better than other units in the area and we are glad we found it. Hope to come back again :)"

"This is the fourth time we have stayed at Crystal views on the river. This house is the perfect location to town and all the places to see in and around Glen Arbor. We love to put in our kayaks at the put in a few miles down the road and end up back at the house. The house has everything you need. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the owner has thought of everything in terms of providing amenities. Will definitely be back!"

"The most beautiful lake view makes climbing the stairs worth it! Kitchen was well stocked, there were plenty of linens and space is older, but great for a beach vacation. Porch was great and beds were very comfortable. We will go back!"

"We spent a week here. Family of four with 2 boys. Place was close to town and had everything we needed for a week long adventure. Walkable to the beach was great for a good beach day or sunset. The boys loved the lifted bunk bed setup. We would stay here again!"

"The property at Hawk's Nest 5 in Glen Arbor was as pictured online. It was perfect for my husband and I for our 6-night stay during July 2026. Great layout/use of space. Entryway was thoughtfully planned & practical; we appreciated the multiple hooks near the door, the shoe tray, and the "drop spot" for keys, etc. Kitchen is narrow, but there is plenty of counter space, and it had what we needed (we didn't cook any meals, though - just breakfast). We enjoyed the private deck (you can't be seen, but possibly overheard?) - good breeze and lovely birdsong. Bed was comfortable and there were nightstands w lamps on each side. BR closet for hanging clothes, but no dresser other than a small TV cabinet with one drawer. We made it work. Overall, a nice property that's quiet and well located for exploring Sleeping Bear Dunes Lakeshore, and the Leland/Northport area. Would stay again!"
