"This was a wonderful place to stay. Very clean, comfortable beds, and well stocked kitchen. Views from the balcony are beautiful, including sunsets. The description is accurate, except the walking distance to the Crystal River. I do not recommend this condo if you want to access the Homestead beach. We messaged the host and asked how far and difficult walking to the beach would be. We were told it was a "short walk down from the hillside toward the shoreline. It’s still quite close, generally around 5–10 minutes depending on your pace...The walk itself isn’t very long, but since the property sits on a ridge overlooking the lake, there are some stairs and a bit of an incline/decline involved." The walk is actually just shy of one mile. The condo is not just on a hill, it is on a bluff with a very steep hill. There is parking close to the beach, but you need a parking pass which Homestead would not provide because we did not book through them. Otherwise, the condo was great and we recommend it."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo had all the necessary things to make the stay comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and everything functioned properly. I would stay again but thankfully the temperature was cooler as there is no air conditioning. Also a suggestion if possible, better bathroom ventilation - the fan light combo does very little to pull moisture from the room."

"Overall stay was good. For the price I would have expected the house to be in better cosmetic condition. No air conditioning and a majority of the windows either don’t open or screens falls off when trying to open, close. Shower head in upstairs shower is not good. It also comes off very easily and shoots a straight shot until you manage to put it back on. Very outdated carpet, tv, etc. views of lake are gorgeous and screen room is nice. Lots of spiders and cobwebs on the ceiling in the upstairs. We barely spent anytime there so it wasn’t a huge problem but had we planned to spend a lot of time inside I would have been dissatisfied especially with how much it was per night"

"Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at Skippers Woods, as long as we were inside. The one thing we were disappointed about was the deck. The sliding door was broken, so we could not excess the deck easily. There was another entrance to the deck, but since it was uneven terrain, it was difficult for our elderly parents to access. Also, there was no glass in the outdoor table, so even if you wanted to enjoy the deck, don't plan on using it for meals. This was a big bummer since this was the only outside area. When we talked to the vacation rental company at the beginning of our trip, they were aware of the door situation, but had no plans on coming out to fix it. I would not recommend this place if you are looking to spend your time outdoors. Otherwise, the house was large and had room for our party of 7."

"We enjoyed our weekend in Glen Arbor. Beautiful view from an elevated condo. There’s definitely a lot of steps up and down, so you will get your exercise staying here. You get both unit 25 & 26. We had an issue checking in as the key did not work in the lock. Housekeeping showed up 20 minutes later to let us in and told us to just keep the place unlocked, which wasn’t a big deal to us, but might be for others. Owner should really invest in an electronic keypad for the door. The unit does not include access to The Homestead pool. You can get to the beach by walking through Sundance. There’s a small grocery store with incredible pizza and fresh coffee every morning within The Homestead property. There is no A/C, which we knew before renting. Keeping door walls and windows open creates a great cross breeze. Also, there are no ceiling fans, even though it’s listed in the description. There are plenty of other fans in every room. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would return."

"The property is beautiful and has wonderful beach access. The condo is clean and cozy and perfect for a Glen Arbor getaway. My reason for the 3 stars on ease of check-in is because it was a bit confusing finding the location, as the property has another rentable condo with the same house number down the street. My friend and I accidentally went to the wrong one and didn't realize it. The building names were not prominent (at least to us - others may have no problem). The property manager got back to us right away though when I called and we were able to troubleshoot and realize we were at the wrong condo, explaining why the code was not working! I recommend including a "head's up" in the address to alert future VRBO'ers. I would absolutely stay here again!"
