It's in a good location for Battle, Hastings and Rye, but the road itself is quite busy and noisy, which we could hear from the cottage. The close proximity to the other cottage means if the windows are open you can hear everything and they can hear you. We value privacy and a rural location on holiday and we didnt find this as we expected to. Thus aside, the cottage and the views over the fields were lovely.
