We had a short walk to the Omena Country Store. Having our in beach was a plus. Took advantage of some warm early September days to go sswimming.Being off of M22 was good so we could take our dogs for walks. Would stay here again."
East Beach Cottage: Sandy | Secluded | 3 King Beds

Beautiful Bayview 3 bedroom, 3 bath home / walking distance to beach. Sleeps 9.
10/10 Excellent
"This was a lovely home in a beautiful and peaceful location. We have driven through Omena countless times but have never stayed there until this time. The town has just enough to do without feeling touristy -there is a small public beach area, a cute little general store for the basics, and Knot Just a Bar if you want to eat out at a restaurant. All of those sites are within a 7 minute walk from the house. There was plenty of space for our family of 5 to spread out. The best part was the sunroom that had views of the bay- a great spot to enjoy my morning tea and read a book in the evening. The host was excellent with her communication both before and during the stay. I would definitely recommend this house for anyone who wants to be up in the Leelanau peninsula but prefers to have a quieter location. With that said, it is very easy to get to all of the other great towns in the peninsula."

8/10 Good
"I want to say upfront that we really did enjoy our relaxing get-away at this secluded Omena rental. We would rent this property again. This cabin is not like staying at the Ritz. The furniture is a bit worn, but comfortable enough to be comfortable. The beds have nice sheets and comforters. Pillows are really nice. This cabin isn't fancy. But what it is is genuine! There were fans, but no air-conditioning. Some of the nights were a bit hot even with fans. It took me back to my youth. Memories of not having every convenience, but enjoying everything. The beach is very rocky, so a rock lovers dream! Bring your water shoes. The water was a wonderful temperature, as the summer sun has warmed the cold Lake Michigan temps. And the water is clear. In water up to my chest I can still see my feet. It doesn't get better. There is a large deck overlooking the lake. And this rental has its own private beach. You get to enjoy having your own little piece of heaven when you stay here. We appreciated that we could bring our Airedale Terrier with us.The bathroom was clean with a nice shower. Just one bathroom here. My husband worried a little about that, but there was never a problem, if you get my drift. There were 4 of us.I feel like the "property information book" needs to be updated. It warmed my heart to read how the owners grew up spending their summers there and how much they loved it."
5BR Lake Michigan Log Cabin | Dog Friendly

Tiny home with shared beach on Grand Traverse Bay
10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed our stay at the Little Dipper. It was clean, comfortable, and adorably decorated. There’s a regular coffee maker and a Nespresso machine. We were thrilled she had local coffee and pods available for use. We didn’t cook but noticed she had a good selection of spices available(since most people don’t think to bring when traveling). The property was quiet considering there are multiple other cottages onsite. This cottage does not have a water view but the walk to the beach is not far. The beach was clean with chairs and a pit for a fire. Our host Kimberli was very hospitable and had great communication. She’s constructed a binder with important information and suggestions for dining in the area."
