This is a really nice hotel and I think their favorite colour is red :) . Its a nice bling kind of place and very popular with the flight crews and staff. The staff are friendly enough and welcoming. The room was very big and the TV was excellent. The bed was very soft and very clean and the bathroom ...

Helga was an absolute star!!! She was really hospitable and very, very helpful (I suffered with toothache while there and she went out of her way to get something from the chemist for me to alleviate the pain!) The level of service and how she helped was second to none and the way we were made to ...

Decent hotel on the edge of Basel located near the Tram. The hotel is a accessible to the Messe by tram and a short walk. The taxis to the Messe or into Basel can be difficult to find during events. The buffet breakfast is a good value. The rooms are relatively spacious and quiet.

Lovely hotel with clean rooms and comfortable beds. Food was very good with lots of choice on the breakfast menu. The bathroom was the only negative due to the lack of effective plugs in the sink and a shower which was downright dangerous. No consistency of temperature, went from cold to scalding ...

In Basel, taking time out to unwind in a sauna or spa hotel is a traditional pastime. In fact, you could say that no trip to Switzerland would be complete without experiencing this particular aspect of the country’s way of life. If you’re looking for a spa hotel in Basel, there’s a good variety to choose from, ranging from accommodation with a small on-site sauna to luxury hotels with 24-hour health clubs and a choice of specialist spa and beauty treatments on offer.
Staying in a spa hotel in Basel, you’ll be able to take advantage of the treatments available on site. But if your hotel has no spa or sauna, whether it’s an historic hotel in Basel city centre or a business hotel further out of town, don’t worry because there’s a wealth of public spa and sauna facilities within easy reach of the city. Try Aquabasilea water park and wellness centre in Pratteln, about five miles from the centre of Basel, where you’ll find both indoor and outdoor pools and saunas, a gym and fitness area, hammam, spa treatment rooms and even a pool bar.
A little further away but well worth the trip from your Basel hotel is Sole Uno Wellness World, about 15 miles (25km) to the east of the city centre in the Swiss part of Rheinfelden, just south of the border with Germany. At Sole Uno, you can try out spa experiences from all over the world, including intense salt-water sensations of the Dead Sea and authentic Finnish and Siberian saunas. There are also bubbling outdoor pools and a fire-and-ice experience that combines tropical rainforest and alpine waterfall effects.
If your stay in a Basel spa hotel turns you into something of a water baby, then why not try one of Basel’s most special outdoor experiences? On sunny summer’s days or balmy evenings, join the city’s inhabitants taking to the water at one of the historic lidos on the Rhine or bob down the river with thousands of others, your clothes in a brightly coloured watertight swimming bag. It’s an experience not to be missed.
