A peaceful and beautiful rustic house
I looked carefully for a spacious rural property with the right combination of rooms for a group of friends, walking distance from a small town as we didn’t have a car, this was exactly what I wanted. A peaceful and beautiful rustic house a short walk from delightful Barga with shops, restaurants and art galleries. Thank you, it was the perfect spot to relax for a few days.

Gorgeous location.
Situated about 25 minutes walk from the local town, the house offers a lovely combination of peace and serenity whilst still having walkable access to local shops, plenty of restaurants and delightful walks. The house was beautifully clean and the rooms are very spacious. We are 2 parents and 4 teenagers and there was ample room for everyone to find their own space. We particularly enjoyed evenings playing cards on the terrace under the wisteria and watching the sunset with a few drinks! Barga has a good range of restaurants and supermarkets. The owner, Carol, was very helpful when we had problems with our car and we definitely highly recommend both the property and Carol as the owner.

Idyllic Tuscan escape
Beautiful, welcoming and homely house with breathtaking views of Barga and everything we needed for ourselves and three children to spend a week escaping. A short walk to a fantastic little town with plenty of shops and a good selection of restaurants. We didn’t want to leave and we will be back!!!

This place is heaven
It is hard to know where to start, but the views are probably a fair bet. All the way around, the views are spectacular. Mountains envelop the property and there is somewhere else beautiful to look any time you like. Sitting on the patio in the evening is something that lingers long in the mind. For those of us that like a stroll, the walk into Barga that takes about 20 minutes is charming and easy. The town has so much to offer in terms of good food, drink, and culture but being able to relax away in the hills is lovely. The house is comfortable and has all things necessary for cooking and living, and the local wines go well with everything!

Our place in Italy.....
I know we're taking liberties calling it "our place" but it feels like home whenever we stay. Going back 33 years(!) this was our third visit. The house and barn (capanna) are so clean and have everything you would need. The position in relation to Barga is close enough to feel you're near amenities, but far enough away to feel you're really escaping. It's the perfect place for relaxing and reading. We took all our grown up kids and their partners this time round, if it's still for hire it wouldn't surprise me if they are still going back in another 33 years! Highlights of this visit - wild swimming in the Lima just east of Bagni di Lucca, Lucca and Pisa day trips, eating out on the terrace in the evening (I think we were too late this year for the fireflies) and Cecchi Chianti at Conad EU4.99 a bottle....We can't recommend this place highly enough.

Prachtige locatie
Fijne accomodatie op een prachtige plek. Uitzicht is geweldig!
