"Excellent aircon. Didn't try the pool this time as our guest room (#304) was in the newer building near reception (as opposed to across the road from reception where we stayed 6 days previously and where we did enjoy the pool). Unfortunately there were some really weird thumping, crashing and bashing noises going on directly above our room...almost like renovations except it went on until 2am and started again early Sunday morning. Overall, it didn't affect our stay that much and the location of the Villager is simply fabulous to enjoy the strip that comes alive at night time."

"What a beautiful hotel . Centrally located and walking distance of everything you need . Right on the ocean with 2 very nice pools , although not as large as other hotels I have stayed in . The monkey pool is like a winding river. The rooms are huge and clean . The tv selection is large with Netflix and Amazon . The breakfast buffet is wonderful. The beach is beautiful . What a great hotel . If you are coming from Phuket or Bangkok ( not just the airports) change money there . The exchange rate is lower in Samui by about 4%. "

![One of the many local food stalls in the Chaweng walking street. This stall does not have a name but on their menu it says "Thai Food Thai Style"  and is next to Samui Grilled Fish. We have tried different dishes from most of the food stalls and feel this one has the best quality, consistency, taste and price.
