I liked the reception desk, the bar, and the staff. The room was adequate for our needs. We liked the the fact that the hotel had air conditioning since the temperature was abnormally very high during out stay. The hotel is centrally located for visiting the old town as well as the rest of Bamberg - a beautiful town and wonderful to visit.

I was disappointed with the breakfast. They had just one operation coffee machine, brewed coffee and juices were always empty and buns were dry from the beginning. Also not too great selection in breakfast items. Staff was informed about the situation but didn’t do anything about it. If breakfast is important to you than look for another hotel. The rest was good. Bed was comfortable and staff at the reception very friendly. I would not stay there another night.

Great hotel. Very conveniently-located. Staff was incredibly helpful. The air-conditioning was amazing considering the heat. Breakfast was great, if not crowded. My only suggestion is to put a “lip” on the floor in the shower to keep the water confined to the shower. Germany is the only place I’ve seen the open “European showers” without either a drain in the centre of the bathroom or a “lip” on the floor to keep water inside the shower. The bathroom can get flooded easily, which is a safety hazard for slipping. A lip across the entrance would solve this problem.

Comfortable stay in a historical town

The hotel is just near the Bamberg town centre area, with about 10 mins walk you may reach to most of the historical attractions such as the Dom, the Altes Rathaus etc. The room was comfortable and very clean, and staff are friendly and helpful. It’s surely the best choice for a leisure stay in Bamberg.

People were so kind with me, my wife and our dog. In addition to that the hotel is very well located. You can find everything nearby the hotel. I recommend this hotel!

Nice sized room with new furnishings, walkable neighborhood with easy parking. The staff is competent and professional. Walkable to all the attractions in Bamburg. I would definitely stay again.

All Ibis hotels are pretty much the same; clean, sparse, friendly staff. The location of this hotel is fantastic. A short walk or cab from Hbf and a short walk to all of tourist Bamberg. The market just around the corner had wonderful, ripe, Franconian peaches.

Great hotel, loved it.

This hotel was mainly location location location. 5 minute walk to the city legendary spot. Room was clean but very small. Stayed one night, wouldnt reccomend more than 2.

Property is in an excellent location a short walk from the sites we wanted to see. Loved the idea of how this hotel attempt to serve visitors but bed wasn't very comfortable nor was seating in room. There was seating int he reception area that was comfortable. Breakfast was good and had something for everyone.

Very small and basic room

Apparently honest reviews containing justified criticism are not welcome, as I was asked to revise a perfectly fine and fair review several times. I will not revise again. The room was tiny, not comfortable and sparsely furnished. Breakfast was a highlight. The location was very convenient.

This was mostly excellent. I appreciated the drink voucher in lieu of having cleaning service. I loved having access to complimentary tea, coffee and water. I DO wish there some TV options in English. The only thing there was four different news channels, none of which were from the US (CNN did not work)
