"Great place to stay, friendly staff nice food "

"The hotel, the stay, the room and pretty much everything about our 2 nights there where very good the only thing that could be improved is the wifi speed and connection. Due to data signal in the area being very poor which is not controllable by the hotel i think an improvement on there wifi capabilities would compensate for this issue."

"This was a real find. A late decision to stay in the area led us to this real gem. The room was perfect - well decorated and all facilities provided but it is the restaurant that needs to be particularly commended. The food was amazing."

"Last minute weekend booking for 2 adults and 3 children (6,6,8). Arrived late to a prepared room, warm welcome and much needed cocktail. Room had a queen size bed in a separate area with sofa bed and single bed in the main area. Each area had a large TV, would of loved for these to be smart tv’s but didn’t affect us too much. Was a warm weekend but a fan was provided. Spacious, clean room. Amenities were great and included iron, wash basket etc + the usual tea, coffee and hot choc ( great selection). Breakfast was amazing and the coffee selection was brill. Bonus of 2 terraces which were beautiful and had a scenic view. Would of loved to of eaten there but unfortunately our schedule was packed! Can’t wait to return to spend some more time at the hotel. Given a travel lodge wasn’t too much cheaper I am blown away at how reasonably priced this was given the huge range of facilities, high quality spacious rooms and scenic location. This hotel also has a hair salon which would be great for those staying for an event (again reasonably priced). This hotel is a must for families who want a little bit of luxury in a child friendly place "

"Really quirky old building, rooms were good, clean and bed very comfortable, it is on the Main Street but that did not bother us and is excellent for Clark’s Village and shops with added bonus of car parking at rear. Would definitely come back."

"Booked for relatives. They enjoyed it especially the big comfy bed, bath, private patio, tea coffee etc. they didn’t have time to use the club facilities "

"Would definitely return, lovely pub with local south west ales, cider's, lagers, spirits. Great atmosphere, live music on night we stayed, not to loud and finished at reasonable time so not disturbing guests. Staff were really nice, helpful and approachable, room was clean and well kept, breakfast was relaxed atmosphere and good size portions, continental available as well. Bonus was they would accommodate a motorbike in a safe place with prior notice given. Overall my opinion is this is a great place to stay and definitely going in the right direction from previous ownership. Deserves more star rating than currently has (but think this is from previous rep) would definitely return without hesitation if current staff and owners preside. Harley Al. Cornwall "
