Best Western Appleby Park Hotel
8/10 Good
"The hotel was clean, comfortable & well placed for the M42. The room was large enough although there were not enough well placed plugs for charging appliances. The over bed lights were placed so that you could not read in bed without banging your head on them. The evening meal was fine & the wine not over priced. The breakfast was good & all the staff were friendly & helpful."

"We had a lovely weekend at this hotel and spa and overall really enjoyed our stay. The amenities were very good and provided everything we needed for a relaxing break. The staff were excellent throughout—friendly, attentive and welcoming, which really added to the experience. The location was also a highlight. The nearby village was lovely to explore, and there was a nice little walk close by, which was perfect for getting out and enjoying the surroundings. The only real disappointment was the food. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to the rest of the experience and did let the weekend down a little. With a better dining experience, this would have been a fantastic stay from start to finish. Overall, though, we had a very enjoyable and relaxing weekend and would happily consider returning."

"Solo business traveller. Very pleasant staff, good breakfast. Gym was small but perfectly adequate. Clean and comfortable in both room and common areas. Stayed on consecutive weeks and quality (firmness) of bed varied significantly between rooms. Pleasant overall stay. I’d happily return."
