Lovely accommodation, had everything we needed. Spotlessly clean and Pamela and Graham have thought of everything, real home from home. Local area peaceful, beautiful views. Easy to get around and enjoyed looking around the farm. Thanks to our hosts, hope to return.
we spent wonderful holidays in this lovely house: everything is ready to put up a family. The house is very nice and well equipped. East Devon is very beautiful and the house of Pam and Graham is very well located to discover Jurassic Coast, Exeter and Darmoor National Park.
Just spend 2 weeks in the Wagon House at Hawley Farm (2 adults + 2 teenagers). Accommodation was just what we were looking for! Wonderful natural/agricultural surroundings, peace and quiet. Nothing to listen to but singing birds, cows, sheep, some wind in the trees. Comfortable and spacious holiday home with all conveniences. Perry family at Hawley Farm cordial and helpful. Was fun and interesting to join them one afternoon for milking the cows.
Nice area for walks, near lots of interesting and beautiful places at the coast, little villages. We visited a.o. the Beer quarries, Chesil beach, Golden Top, Lime Regis, Exeter Cathedral, Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens and enjoyed it all (but accommodation at Hawley Farm was our winner!). Good food at Tucker’s Inn, Dalwood.
Very friendly and helpful owners of a beautiful property in fantastic surroundings. There are lots to do in the surrounding areas. It was a very nice stay and we would be happy to go back again.
We stayed here for almost a month while we were renovating our new home. Pamela and Graham have been super, left us to it and popped in occasionally just to make sure we were OK. They also let us stay for longer than arranged originally and we're very helpful. Beautiful setting and lovely people. I love the bed in the master bedroom and will miss it!
The Wagon House was so comfortable and homely, and our hosts were so welcoming. Situated centrally for many attractions in East Devon. We would highly recommend Hawley Farm. Our thanks to Graham and Pamela.
The Wagon House is an idyllic cottage based on a working farm. It was so peaceful and the cottage was equipped to meet our every need. There are a range of country walks that start straight from your door. Can't wait to return.

Lovely birthday week
We had very lovely stay in the Wagon House for my birthday in mid-May. I've done a lot of cottage/rural stays over the past 5 years and I can honestly say this is the only one I would gladly return to. The bed (in the main bedroom) was SO comfortable I didn't want to get out of it!
Off the beaten track so a car and an aptitude for reversing down single track lanes is essential (well us townies need the practice don't we?).
Would be completely perfect if there were blackout curtains in the bedroom (6am sunlight on holiday - noooo! although the OH took advantage of this to go look at the farm tractor on its early morning travels) and some non-stick pans in the kitchen (eggs got stuck every morning).
Yes the wifi isn't spectacular but I was on holiday so I didn't care. Slightly jealous that other visitors got wine as a welcome gift. OK, very jealous! Thankfully I had packed plenty for the birthday celebrations.
Overall good quality and comfortable accommodation, welcoming hosts, a good amount of on-site parking and within easy reach of a bunch of nice places to visit, and a peaceful location for chilling out. You won't be disappointed (apart from the wine thing).

Lovely stay, really well connected
Great for a 2 couple holiday - spotlessly clean, very well connected to surrounding areas and sites. Comfortable. Really nice touches like a xmas tree, prosecco and delicious scones! Charming and friendly owners who were in contact as little or as much as needed. It would be great to have better wifi but that could be an issue with the area rather than the property.

Fantastic
We had a super time at the Wagon House. Very clean, spacious and lovely little touches to make it feel like home. Perfect for our family of 5 and the dog. Our youngest loved the little Z bed. Delicious scones on arrival and plenty of books to read. Pamela and Graham were very friendly and helpful. It was also super to have a washing machine AND tumble dryer - very useful after the kids have all been paddling in the sea! We visited Lyme Regis twice, did a Fossil Walk with experts (well worth it), visited Charmouth and Seaton, Lulworth and Durdle Door, did some horse riding and lots of walking! Lovely property in a glorious part of the world. Would definitely like to return. Very good value for money too. Thank you.

Lovely Barn!
Very peaceful and cosy barn even though it was spacious. Everything you could possibly want whether you are solo or with family and friends. Pamela and Graham were exceptional hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful views and walks on the doorstep. Would definitely stay again.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt Nahe Jurassic coast

The Stables, Hawley Farm, Dalwood, Devon
A beautiful new stable conversion with very tasteful décor, quality furnishings and white goods, lovely ensuite showers/bathroom. Graham and Pamela were most hospitable providing a delicious cream tea and checking up daily that we were warm and comfortable.
The location was peaceful with beautiful views and good walks to the Tuckers Arms in Dalwood itself. We loved being welcomed by the young bullocks in the adjacent field not to mention Pamela's three adorable lambs. We can highly recommend a holiday break here and had to be wrenched away!!

Better than described
First class reception with a Devon cream tea and wine!!!. The accommodation was spotless and perfect. As for the location, again it was more than we could of wished for, ideal for seeing the wonderful county of Devon. Would recommend it highly to anyone with high standards.

The standard of the property was outstanding, the outside patio was great, secluded and private.
The Jusassic coast is an outstanding area of beauty, the Waggon house is in keeping with the area, the working farm is great our grandson loved the farm, watching and helping to feed the calfs, great walks around the farm and surrounding public footpaths and bridleways, the accommodation is private, the sun streams into the lounge most of the day, the facilities are very good and of a high standard, the Wifi, works everywhere, most of other places we have stayed over the past few years, do not work too good, the Waggon house Wifi was fantastic, even with four of us on the internet at many times.
Pamela and Graham welcomed us on arrival and clearly wanted us to enjoy the accommodation, the farm and this beautiful area without being intrusive, they succeeded.
The area is full of great places to visit, shop, we will be coming back to the area again and will want to stay at the Waggon house!
Thank you for a great week.

A lovely, excellently equipped property
Our third stay at Hawley Farm (at either the Wagon House or the Cider Barn). Mr & Mrs Perry are very welcoming and the property is clean, very well equipped and most comfortable.
Although the farm is off the main road, making it nice and quiet, it is easy to access the A35. The coast and inland attractions of both East Devon and West Dorset are easily reached.
There are plenty of places to eat, including the local pub, The Tuckers Arms and as well as the local shop, supermarkets are within easy reach, e.g. Axminster and Honiton. Millers Farm Shop at nearby Kilmington is excellent, including fresh local fish.
Would recommend to anyone - as long as it didn't affect our chances of getting a booking!

Beautiful barn conversion
This is the second time we have stayed in Wagon House. Our first stay was two years ago. The Wagon House is extremely comfortable and spacious with a lot of thought given to its layout. It is very well equipped, spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a great holiday. Our stay this time was a good as the first time something that other cottage owners sometime loose sight of. Thank you Pamela and Graham we will be back again.
