Perfect place to stay for a nearby family wedding. Our mini Aussie loved all the scents and wildlife outside. A beautiful property and very comfortable home and very kind host.
The house was perfect for what we needed. The bridal party had hair and makeup there and it was the perfect cozy setup. Kitchen was stocked and beds were comfy.
Great central location to stay for Wedding nearby in Dripping Springs. Beds were comfortable and home was spacious inside and out. We enjoyed the wrap around porch and deer that would come by. Kitchen fully stocked and bathrooms size made getting ready easy.
Our stay was a very enjoyable weekend. Owner provided very detailed and accurate directions and access information in advance. All communication with her was immediately answered and resolved. House was large, nicely furnished and beautiful view. Everything you would expect was there and the view and grounds were better than described. Had daily visits by deer and sunsets spectacular. Would stay here again without question. Thanks Sushni for a great weekend for me my family.
The property was amazing, very relaxing, and peaceful. Each morning and evening, we saw deer and different types of birds. The house was well-furnished with all the kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping supplies needed to make the visit for 8 adults an easy transition from home. The only issue we had was that the power outlets in the middle bathroom did not work, but I'm sure it's an easy fix. It was a great location close to HEB, restaurants, distilleries, and the top reason: the wedding venue. We would 100% stay here again if we return to Dripping Springs.
The gravel road leading to the property was a little intimidating the first time heading to the house. However, once we were familiar, it became easy breezy. The home is lovely. The rooms are all spacious and the beds are comfy. The owners stocked the home very nicely which made the stay even better knowing they had just about everything we needed. We didn’t get to use the wrap a wrap around porch much because we had wedding activities all weekend but it was a nice feature of the house. Host was very quick with communications.
My group was cousins who are all grandma's and we had a great time at this property. The house is cozy and comfortable. We loved the open plan kitchen/living/dining area for meals and games and general visiting. We like to walk and had some nice places to walk around the property. Fun to see deer grazing at dusk, for this city girl. We enjoyed the Oak Street Cafe and the Pig Pen BBQ restaurants, and of all things, a wonderful thrift store on HWY 290, less than 5 miles from the house.
This place was awesome! 3 couples - family get together. Everyone had space and their own bathroom. Really clean and comfortable furniture. Kitchen stocked with all we needed. Coffee pot is drip - which was really nice for our group - as opposed to single cup. Great time. We all agreed we'd come back!
We needed a property that could handle our needs for a large group attending a wedding rehearsal dinner. Sushni was extremely helpful and accommodating, and the event went off without a hitch! The deck surrounding the house is perfect for a large gathering, with good access to it from much of the main floor. Furnishings were fine, although comments regarding no television in the main living area were heard.Plenty of ways to sleep multiple people, but check the bed sizes beyond the owners suite, as we had all adults and some of the other bed’s seemed small for couples staying with us.All in all, we were very satisfied with the accommodations. We needed a place that could handle as many as 60 people attending the dinner, and it worked very well. Thanks Sushni!

Beautiful home near Ma Maison wedding venue
The home was perfect for our 6 adults and 3 children to stay in near the wedding venue Ma Maison where my son was getting married. It was quiet and peaceful with deer walking around. I started the morning on the huge back porch and just listed to the rooster in the distance crowing as the sun came up. Only a few miles from the venue and it worked out terrific for our group. We had everything we needed there. The 3 children had fun on the swingset and if the weather had been warmer would have played outside more. We will be back if we ever need a place to stay while attending a wedding at Ma Maison. It is only a couple of miles from town, but you feel like you are out in the country, so it is very convenient.

Clean, but otherwise disappointing. Loud, ongoing construction adjacent to the property.
The location was fine for our many wedding-related destinations this weekend. And there are some fun diversions nearby (Wimberley and Texas Hill Country Olive Company to name a couple.) The house is clean, but it is very dated and to quote one member of our group, “somewhat shabby.” The view from the wrap- around porch is diminished by all the construction taking place just below the property, but it is still a nice view. Prospective renters should be advised, however, that said construction starts promptly at 7:45 AM and continues pretty much unabated all day. It is loud enough that you can hear it even when indoors with the doors closed, so you can imagine how it sounds from the deck. The owners should disclose this and their failure to do so is deception by omission, in my opinion, particularly given they advertise the house as a retreat and clearly the construction has been ongoing.
The house, while clean, needs some attention. Examples: The main ceiling fan (the one operated by a switch next to the front door) is out of balance and makes a loud clicking sound if you try to run it. One of the electrical outlets in the kitchen is missing the faceplate . One of the lower cupboard doors in the kitchen doesn’t close all the way. The faucet in the upstairs bathroom is very loose. The wall mounted toilet paper holder in the upstairs bathroom is missing, leaving a hole in the wall .
There are plenty of dishes, cutlery and serving utensils, but the pantry is a mess*. The grounds behind the house could use some attention as well. There was debris that probably has blown in, but should have been picked up before our arrival, and all the hoses that crisscross the backyard seem to have no use and just make the grounds look a little cluttered .
I gave it a 3 for cleanliness and location, but without those considerations, it is probably closer to a 2.
* Note: I have pictures of the some of the previously mentioned issues and recordings of the construction noise taken on two separate days.
