"Not the worst but definitely would not recommend. Staff was amazing, and view was nice but the accommodations were lacking. I would say you're better off getting an airbnb at this price point. The hotel was dated, generally dingy, and not well maintained. For example all the caulking in the bathroom was moldy, shower had missing tiles, water from sink leaked on the floor, and in the room the beds were very old and minimal usable outlets. I'm not one to write bad reviews, but want to warn anyone...

"The hotel was pretty basic, but it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The area around it was safe to walk around, and there were plenty of places to explore. Unfortunately, there was a late-night party at the hotel, and the music was so loud that it even reached our room on the third floor. It made it hard to sleep, but we managed to get through the night."

"The place was great value for the money. You are about a 10 minute ride from the city center finding a tuc tuc was pretty easy. We were charged anywhere from 10 to 25 Q per ride per person. It depended on the person and they can be negotiated with. The place is a steep walk up so just consider that if you have a lot of bags. "

"The pools and gardens are lovely as you come into the courtyard off a street lined with lights and colorful hanging basket streamers leading down to the water. I loved the sounds of the school next door. The room was great, staff was friendly and helpful and the food at the restaurant was the best on this whole trip. It was easy to get a taxi to Panajachel for the public water shuttles around to the other villages. "

"Such a beautiful bnb!!!! Most incredible views from the Armadillo room! Delicious included breakfast, made fresh from the sweetest chefs! Also a beautiful view from the restaurant. The staff was the best!! So, so nice and responsive with any questions. They also give you an info guide and were so helpful with booking transport, any activities, doing laundry, etc! It’s about a 12min tuktuk ride from town, they give you a number for a tuktuk driver that you can text when you need a ride- Lino is the best ever, you can also grab one from town, it’s like $3\. Great spot if you want to be close but not eight in the busy town! "

The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, and accommodated every request we had.
