"Really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. Beautiful view of the lake. Easy walk to the store and bars. You can book a tour of the other villages by boat from the resort, and there is safe parking nearby for a small fee. The continental breakfast included eggs which was nice. The pool area had plenty of lounge chairs and tables and you can order food and drinks. I recommend the hamburguesa Sababa. Overall just an excellent relaxing stay. At might you will hear music from the local bars nearby, but it's not overwhelming"

"We loved our stay at Refugio del Volcan. We’ve been travelling through Central America for c 8 weeks and this accommodation stands out as one of the best. We had the apartment unit at the top, which has the most incredible views of the lake! The accommodation was very comfortable and quiet at night for a great night sleep. The kitchen was well equipped and nice hot shower in the bathroom. It’s a fair distance from San Pedro town centre but walkable, and very easy to get a Tuktuk to and from the town for circa 20Q. We couldn’t fault our stay and would totally recommend to other travellers! "

"This hotel is a great option with a top location. The room was big enough, the staff very friendly and the included breakfast was a nice feature. The town is tiny and you can walk anywhere, but we discovered a shortcut behind the property that took us to the pier, that was very useful on our way back to Panajachel. "
