"On first impression entering the room it looked really nice, it was well decorated and a good size. However it was quite clear the room had not been dusted or hoovered for sometime. I actually bought some wipes to clean the floor and they were filthy. We had ants on the floor, and woke up in morning to find loads of them crawling in the bin. The TV didnt work, I did speak to the manager who said the Source had been changed by the previous guests, didnt offer to come and fix it so no TV. You can hear guests above you walking about and hear guests in the rooms next to you. No breakfast as the pub does not open until 12. We were disappointed and would not return."

"The free parking outside (not in the taxi rank) was great, especially for a town centre. Receptionist was super helpful pointing this out to us when we arrived, as the attached car park was full. Hotel currently undergoing renovations but they did point this out everywhere and was also aware from the reviews too and room was pretty warm on the evening, although they did provide a fan this was the only reason for not giving 5 stars. Free breakfast was good (despite the not-so-great reviews of it) staff were amazing, so friendly and accommodating, could help yourself to toast/bread, pastries, cereal, apple/orange juice, yoghurts, apples/oranges and then order a hot dish from the main menu, we got a vegetarian breakfast which I chose scrambled egg, my partner poached and we got a hash brown, half a mushroom, tomato and vegan sausage. To say the breakfast was free and the double room was £60 on a last minute Saturday night booking, including parking and breakfast for 2 I couldn't complain at all. Good value for money, decent selection, lift in the hotel too which wasn't expecting. I do understand peoples comments on the communal areas, the breakfast area could be improved with some small improvements such as investing in proper tables/units to lay the buffet out on but also would the added cost for the hotel outweigh the added nicety to a customer experience, i am unsure"

"Good clean hotel room ideal for a long weekend stay, tho tv in room had plenty of tv channels sky tv & kids cartoons channels, i could not get BBC1 &2 ITV1 & 2 Ch4 & Ch5 tho staff tried as well plenty of news channels & films just wanted normal tv channels , tho did not effect my stay,.good friendly stafff with a good bar & selection of drinks ."

"Parking was easy and I felt my vehicle was safe. although checking in and out via the key box was very good the reception was closed throughout my stay were I would have liked to have met the person who organized my stay (Laura) maybe next time. "

"A lovely new hotel, very modern and clean. The room was spacious with a nice comfy sofa as well as a bed. Everything you needed for an overnight stay. Very comfy bed with a good selection of pillows.The staff are very helpful and friendly. There was a good selection of hot and cold food for breakfast, a good variety of options for other meals and a bar open til late. Great location for Barrow or the Lakes in general. Reasonably priced, I would definitely recommend!"

"We liked the space that the apartment had and the location of the property. The apartment was very quiet and had all the amenities we needed including the kitchen area. We also liked the garden at the back of the property. We will book again when we come back to Ulverston."
