It’s a 2.5-star at a 4-star location. The internet was spotty, and the apps on its smart TV weren't working. The a/c in room 208 turned off and had to be restarted manually. The beds were adequate, but the biggest sign that the hotel is a 2.5-star-level facility. But for visiting the state parks in the area and the Apostles, this is a 5-star choice.

Beautiful setting! Impressive curbside appeal. The desk clerks were very friendly and cordial. All the staff members we encountered greeted us with a smile. Our room was clean, with no weird smells that some hotel rooms have. The beds were comfortable. We went to the bar for happy hour where we were greeted by a very friendly bar tender who made us delicious drinks. I had a margarita and hubby had a martini. The Wisconsin Cheese curds with blueberry sauce were amazing. The breakfast room was staffed by a couple friendly ladies who were keeping things stocked and clean. The food was good. There was a good variety. There is a walking path right outside, along the lake, and the marina is right there too, which adds to the charm of the whole setting. We weren’t prepared to use the pool, but walking through that area, we decided we didn’t miss anything, as the area around the pool looked kinda run down and rusty. So if you’re looking for someplace with a pool, I’d keep looking, but other than that I highly recommend this hotel.

The rooms only get cleaned if you ask at the front desk before noon. They won't even empty the trash. The breakfast was good since they provided eggs and meat and a waffle maker. Coffee and juice and fresh fruit. Breakfast from 7am till 10 or 11am. It's not helpful if you want to leave early. The hotel is older but updated.

Great Location, nice hotel, good breakfast. The bar/restaurant is beautiful. The rooms need to be maintain better. Our toilet flusher broke and looked like someone previously repaired it with twisty tie. One night table lamp didn’t work. The other lamp had one broken USB hub. The tub didn’t have a working stopper to soak in a bath. The pool was closed during our entire trip with no explanation or warning it was closed. Found out after going to the pool and seeing the sign.
