There’s nothing better than sitting in a rocking chair on a deck with an amazing view of a beautiful lake. That is what you get with this house. LOVE that it has two full kitchens that are stocked with everything we needed. So thankful for the drawer full of Saran Wrap, aluminum foil and sandwich bags bc guess what we forgot to pack? Plenty of dishes, cups, mugs and silverware. My FIL is in a wheelchair 24/7. He can stand with assist to stretch but otherwise he is in the wheelchair. Trying to find places to stay over the years that provide him what he truly needs to function has been difficult. Just because something is labeled as “handicap accessible” does not mean that it really is. I’m a physical therapist so I know the standards and this house came through. The bedroom is large and spacious with a bed that is actually lower to the floor that alllowed him to easily transfer himself to the bed from his wheelchair. The bathroom since allows him to roll up to and under it easily. The shower has a built in flip down shower seat along with plenty of grab bars to allow him to transfer with my MIL safely. He had his 18” wide wheelchair with him and it fit through the bedroom door (just watch the knuckles). If someone has a wider wheelchair the door into the bedroom would be a barrier. This house met, and exceeded, our expectations and we will definitely be returning. Thank you to the Armstrongs for providing an amazing home that allowed us to vacation in my in laws comfortably!
