This unique listing hosts one bedroom, two full bathrooms with view of mountains. It is located five miles from downtown Asheville and four miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is a newly renovated mountain oasis with a beautiful, private outdoor haven ! The unique architecture style designed and created by the owner is breathtaking. There are cozy, romantic areas throughout. The owner has gone to great lengths to create beauty and character in every room in the house. From the pecky cypress columns and curved walls to the copper trim---there are architectural surprises everywhere you look. Located in Beaverdam Valley, the property includes a hot tub, fireplace with gas logs, covered porches, fire pit, gas grill, and decks. There is a year round view of the mountains. The bungalow has a full kitchen stocked with ample equipment needed to prepare gourmet meals, a dining nook and a wet bar. It is difficult to describe the many details and features in the amazing bungalow! The property is located just minutes away from downtown Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Grove Park Inn, and the Biltmore Estate. Also, there are many nearby outdoor adventure activities: hiking, whitewater rafting, snow and water tubing, zip lining, kayaking, horseback riding, fly fishing, mountain biking, climbing, snow skiing, and waterfall tours. Spend the day in downtown Asheville dining, tasting our local beers, shopping or people watching. Great day trips to nearby small towns: Waynesville, Hendersonville, Brevard, Flat Rock, Chimney Rock, Highlands, and Cashiers. Scenic routes to each, with great lunch spots. Enjoy shopping for locally made crafts in the quaint atmosphere of small mountain towns. For guests who bring their dogs there is a neighborhood green space for fetching just 1/2 mile from the house. The owner, Jeff Schmitz, is a builder and designer. Jeff is an amazing carpenter with a passion for unique, innovative design and an incredible eye for detail. He loves nature---both at the coast and in the mountains. Jeff has poured his heart and soul into making this space an oasis for couples to enjoy. Jeff often travels to the North Carolina coast where he is renovating two historic homes. He enjoys spending time in the mountains with his family while continuing to build in this community. Jeff purchased this house in the 90's, completed the initial renovation at the turn of the century and completed the massive artistic renovation in February 2019. This is Jeff's second vacation rental rennovation. His first, Beaverdam Valley Escape, VRBO 617005, is a 5-star success! Jeff was originally drawn to Asheville from the west coast by the relaxed lifestyle and ample access to beautiful mountains and rushing waters. He fell in love with this house and this part of Asheville over 30 years ago. Since then, he has worked to renovate the space into a mountain dream house. It is both private and close to town---the best of both worlds. This is such a wonderful place and he wanted to share it with others as they traveled to the mountains of Western North Carolina. We all work so hard these days and forget how important it is to nurture ourselves and our relationships. This is an amazing, private romantic place that is appealing to adults of all ages. This bungolow had so much hidden potential when he purchased it many years ago. It was a diamond in the rough. The property has private lay out for being this convenient to town. It's character stood out above all others.

The house was wonderful and so clean. We enjoyed ourselves as everything was so comfortable and nice. The hot tub was very relaxing and the outside area was so pretty.
We had a FANTASTIC stay here over New Years. It is perfectly set for a trip for 2, and they’ve thought of every experience you might have on a mountain getaway. The reading nook, the two full bathrooms, the comfy bed, the hot tub, the patio, etc. were better than we could have hoped. I would 100% stay here again, and already recommended it to loved ones for their next visit. Tammy is very communicative, and provided tons of helpful information for our stay. Thank you for a wonderful trip!
Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances I wasn't able to stay more than a day, so I wasn't able to fully appreciate what was on offer. The accommodation was of the highest quality
The property is really beautiful and the best is how private it is while also being close to downtown. The hot tub was well maintained and perfectly ready from the moment we arrived. It has a lovely hobbit-ish architecture on the inside, very unique.
Absolutely loved our stay. Very peaceful and private cottage. Just far enough from the city to feel secluded but not to far from dining and entertainment.
Hot tub and robes was a lovely relaxing time. Loved the pet friendly container and fences in yard. Architecture was so amazing and beautiful. Nice to not have to bring TP and paper towels. Thank you ever so much!
Beautiful little home with fenced in back patio/yard. Very easy drive to downtown. Kitchen and bathrooms were very well equipped. The owner thought of everything-even spices in the kitchen and robes for the hot tub. We will definitely return!
This was our second time staying at this property. Both times have been excellent. It is beautiful and peaceful. We loved the outdoor area, the hot tub and the location. We highly recommend.
This is our second stay at the property and it won't be our last. Me and my wife love the charm of the house as well as the location. Our Golden Retriever is also a big fan.Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful property!Tim Anselmi and Family
This house has everything you could need for a weekend away. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this little getaway. Anytime we’re in Asheville we’ll be staying here! Close to everything but far enough away, you feel secluded!
Second time staying at one of Tammy’s properties and always great! Clean, dog friendly and close enough to town after a day of hiking! Thanks for hosting us and our dog again.

Great getaway for couple - house has a private backyard with hot tub and firepit. Feels secluded, but less than 10 minutes to downtown and less than 20 to Biltmore. Would stay again.
Wonderful private property. Close enough to town to partake in nightlight, far enough to be relaxing and quiet. Great private outdoor space and nice front patio
We had a great time! The place is amazing! Hot tub and private back yard were great, lovely bedroom and great rain shower. Overall amazing vacation home.
The privacy made our stay real intimate. Also the best location to get into downtown during the day. We used Uber and fees were always less than 10 dollars!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in what is best described as a bungalow in the forest. A private oasis that is close to town. Great amenities and a convenient space out back for our dog to use. Will definitely stay again!
Was perfect for a quick weekend getaway. We didn’t have the dogs with us but would be totally great to bring them next time, and we would definitely go back! Clean and easy, like a vacation should be.
