Nothing to complain about. Property was just as advertised. Friendly staff. Clean, open spaces. We really enjoyed the spacious guest rooms and the rooftop views of the mountains. Definitely would stay here again!

The room was nice. The air conditioning Did not function properly and the room was hot no matter if we tried to adjust the temperature. I believe housekeeping should have notified the manager before renting out this room. Hopefully it will get fixed b/c the rooms are not cheap

The only negative is the cleaning staff was playing loud Spanish music while cleaning in the morning. My husband and I were trying to sleep but couldn’t. The music was coming from her cart that was parked in the hallway by our door.

We stayed with a group of 6 and had a great stay. We requested to be put tougher and they were able to put us together on the same area. Our room was cleaned daily and staff were always nice, the location was good for walking around the city. It was a little further away from the main parts of town, but super walkable.

My stay was ruined by factors that were completely reparable by the staff in Asheville. No one offered to fix anything, the front desk manager never even returned messages I left him for a return call. I was promised a deluxe room, corner location on a high floor. My room was on the 4th floor. The 4th floor is not a high floor when you are dealing with a hotel with 7 floors and then a rooftop observatory with a bar. The 4th floor is only one floor above street level on the corner where my room was located, because of the way the building was built. The property claims to have a heated indoor pool, kept above 80 degrees. They do indeed have an indoor pool, however, the water is frigid. Also, I was charged $15 for breakfast simply because I had booked through Expedia. I was told breakfast was complimentary when I checked in by the clerk and breakfast was complimentary....as long as you didn't book through a site of your choosing. Only people who had booked on hilton.com enjoyed that benefit. It's just a perfect example of Hilton's corporate greed at work. Hilton dropped the ball big time on this experience. It will be a long time before I will be willing to give them another chance.

The pool is kept at 84 degrees year round, but we will triple check with our engineering team to ensure this is up and operational at the appropriate temperature. Breakfast is not a benefit at DoubleTree hotels and is charged for all guests unless they have booked a package that includes breakfast. We want to apologize for any confusion during your stay and will work with the team to better communicate the hotel amenities.

Perfect spot to explore Asheville.
Excellent place to stay. EV charger for our car. Great location within easy walking distance to downtown restaurants. Great rooftop bar to watch the sunset over the mountains. Staff was fantastic and helpful.

Stayed 5 nights, Jan 2024; 2 parents and a teenager; Overall a very nice hotel. Clean attractive lobby and rooms, great breakfast buffet for about $15 made it one of the better brkfst options for the area, great staff. The Montford Rooftop Bar was also a pleasant surprise - casual atmosphere, great small plates, a fantastic view. But some things we didn't like. "City View" is no view at all. It is a completely blocked view of the hotel across the street. Also, we love a downtown AVL hotel because we prefer to walk everywhere. On the west edge of what I consider the "center" city area, definitely within 15 min walk to the entire downtown, which is great. But one night, walking home from dinner (about 8 pm?), a young person asked us for a cigarette (we are not smokers), and then immediately followed us in the dark for a few blocks on the deserted street, until we reached the hotel. It made us very uncomfortable. Not the hotel's fault, but that night we wished we wished we were staying in a busier area, and we were more hesitant to go out after dark for the rest of the trip. And finally - I hated the in room TV. The remote / TV channel system was painfully difficult to use / clunky.
