We booked this hotel due to its location to Donington Circuit. The location was perfect, the circuit being about 10 minutes drive away (maximum). The owners were lovely and very friendly, Beverley helped us find somewhere to eat on a Sunday when everywhere else was closed or had finished serving. Although the hotel is on the main road, the small town of Melbourne is quiet and the road isn't busy - even on a bank holiday weekend. We couldn’t have had a warmer welcome or to be made feel so valued as a guest. The room was lovely, the bed was very comfortable and everything was clean. We had all of the amenities we needed and more besides. Breakfast was lovely and were offered top ups of hot drinks. Probably one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in a while!

Another great stay thanks to Dougie and Becky, you are wonderful hosts. Enjoyed all meals in a great atmosphere, if you are looking to visit the area I highly recommend this as a great place to stay

Stayed for 1 night, rooms are basic but very clean and the beds are comfy.Food was excellent and the breakfast was worth waiting for.

Had a great overnight stay. Lovely room with view on golf course. Nice to have bath with separate shower. Reception team very kind and helpful as were the staff in Roosters restaurant and the breakfast room. I took advantage of the nearby included gym and pool (12 min drive or the hotel also has a free bookable shuttle). All in all I was very impressed.

Fantastic stay and facilities, we thoroughly enjoyed out little hideaway. This place is a hidden gem and we definitely will be back. Only downfalls are the fact that it isn't advertised so well as this property has huge potential, gym is a little on the small side and it most definitely could do with a onsite restaurant for gain revenue for the place to maximise the income but it didnt effect our stay as we had all the facilities we needed in our lodge and planned on going out anyhow.

Was in Leicester for my daughter’s graduation, the bed was very comfortable, my wife snored happily all night. The breakfast was great, it set us up for the day. If I need to stay in Leicester again, I’ll be staying here.

Plenty of parking, easy to check in and very courteous staff.

Booked for a couple of nights while visiting alton towers and found the place superb value. Food in restaurant good and staff were very friendly and helpful. Also didn't add breakfast at the time of booking and when we asked to add for the 2 days when checking in the receptionist added for no extra charge. Would definitely and will be returning and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone else visiting the area.

Stunning Hotel Spa, room was superb, every staff member was happy and had time for you. The Spa was a dwlight to yse with a decent hot sauna & Steam room, jacuzzi jets were wonderfully powerful & a lovely pool to swim in. The bar food was great & the resturant food the next day was very tasty. Was an absolutely pleasure to stay there, coulfnt failt it.

It was mine and a friend's first night out as new mum's, requested a nice shower. We got a nice shower and more, the room was lovely, huge TV, comfy beds and great air con. Free drink upon check in and the breakfast was great. Lovely seating area and lots of choice for food. Had a lovely time.
