This ‘hotel’ is still taking booking yet it is closed down and has been these last three months - avoid at all cost - we booked arrived to find it closed ended up at the Fenny Benton Hotel instead - very nice, good food, good hospitality, polite helpful staff

The views of Dovedale were superb and the position of the hotel idyllic with easy parking. Dinner and breakfast were not high standard and the only waitress was rushed off her feet. Generally pleasant and helpful Staff.

A must for anyone visiting Ashbourne and the manifold valley. Lovely hotel with amazing staff. Little dated but full of character. Comfy bed with an incredible view. Great breakfast too x

Everything about our one night stay was perfect. The location and views were great. Staff were helpful and friendly. Evening meal in bar was great as was breakfast in morning. Bedroom overlooked hills and was comfy and spacious.
