A little gem! Hospitable, great food, well stocked bar, comfortable bed and a good shower. Parking a little sketchy if you're arriving after dark, but a good welcome, clear instructions and helped up the stairs to my room. Dog welcome too (no charge). Simon the landlord is the proper English gentleman, the pub is a well-established proper English pub, and I'd thoroughly recommend a stay here for a reasonably (sensibly) priced base if you're visiting this part of the world on holiday or on...

I stay here as close to workplace. Rooms are all very comfortable and different. The bar and restaurant are also excellent. This is best hotel in area in my view.

I stayed here 2 nights as I was booking night by night as my husband was in hospital nearby, The room had everything I needed, far more than I expected in a small country inn. Food was delicious and varied. Service was excellent and friendly.

Great stay, friendly staff. If you park at the car park after hours, make sure you ask for and select the correct park park on the Huntingdonshire website !

Nice couple. Very welcoming and good breakfast. Would have preferred fresh holondaise sauce on the eggs benedict, but that's being very picky. Everything else was perfect. Thanks.

A fantastic stay with the most friendly staff. Staff were very prompt at accepting requests and catering to our needs. Quick check in and check out. Kids throughly enjoyed the pool during the stay. Would highly recommend the place.

Excellent location for visiting IWM Duxford and only 10 minutes on the train to Cambridge.
Janet and Simon couldn't have been more welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfasts were really good with options for all tastes.
Would stay again without hesitation.

Lovely pub with rooms. Staff were very helpful and friendly and our room was cosy and quiet. We had breakfast and dinner, both of which were excellent. Parking was no problem and the pub provided a good base for exploring Cambridge and the Fens.

The best area to stay in Arrington is within the village itself, particularly around the central green and the main road, Ermine Street.
Arrington is a small, picturesque village known for its quiet, rural setting and convenient access to nearby attractions. The village is centred around a traditional green, with a historic pub and church forming key focal points. Accommodation here often consists of charming guesthouses and a few larger, more upscale country hotels, many offering views of the surrounding countryside.
Couples looking for a tranquil escape will find Arrington ideal. The village offers a peaceful base for exploring the Cambridgeshire countryside, with pleasant walking routes directly accessible from the village centre. You're also just a short drive from the historic university city of Cambridge, offering a great balance of rural calm and cultural excursions.
When is the best time to go to Arrington?
The best time to visit Arrington is typically during the late spring and summer months, from May to September, when the weather is generally mild and pleasant.
During this period, you'll experience longer daylight hours and warmer temperatures, making it ideal for exploring the surrounding countryside and local attractions. The village and nearby areas are particularly lovely when the gardens are in full bloom, offering picturesque views. This is also when most local events and outdoor activities take place.
For those who enjoy outdoor pursuits like walking or cycling, June, July, and August offer the most comfortable conditions. The weather is usually warm enough for extended periods outdoors, and the chances of rain are lower. This is a great time for couples to enjoy strolls through the countryside or visit nearby historic estates with expansive grounds.
If you prefer a quieter visit and don't mind slightly cooler temperatures, May and September can also be excellent. The crowds are typically smaller than in peak summer, and you can still enjoy pleasant weather for exploring.
