"Beautiful place, feels high-end for a very good price. Lovely breakfast and uninterrupted sea views. Rooms are modern, nicely furnished and very clean. Slightly out of the way so a car is essential, and like most of Madeira it’s on a hillside so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Highly recommended for anyone looking for sea views, infinity pool and a relaxing break. "

Clean, modern, great beds, and a wonderful pool, + the sunset. Alfredo + Celia were great hosts! "This apartment is in an ideal location to enjoy all the splendor that Madeira has to offer. Just a few minutes walk from the center of Funchal. We hired a motorbike and parking outside was not a problem. Kitchen was very well equipped, so easy to prepare all the delicious fresh produce from the market and enjoy from the balcony overlooking the port."

"It was a nice place to stay within our budget! Judite was great and everything was clean, worked, and felt safe. Judite even accommodated out late arrival - 12:15 am! On the other side, we were aware there was no air conditioning but the apartment often got quite hot and muggy. While the parking was an excellent accommodation, it was quite a tight fit after a precarious drive uphill. All things considered, would absolutely book again!"

"Excellent stay, 10/10 recommend. Very clean and well maintained, beautiful views. Host was easy to communicate with, responsive, and had lots of thoughtful touches (local fruit, water, etc). Well stocked kitchen for cooking. Would recommend a car, but that’s true for most of Madeira. "

"Love Madeira and the place is in a great location. Unfortunatley, after booking our non-refundable five-night stay we were charged an additional $140 for an "additional guest fee". Even though the Vrbo is listed for four guests, he charged us an addition $140 because we had three total guests and the base rate price is only for two guests. Good luck if you have any more than two guests because you will be charged almost double for your stay and will not be able to cancel after you booked it."

"Great place to watch the sunset from a shared deck while having dinner. Double check if the jacuzzi is in working condition, it was off due to covid measures during my stay. wifi was not available as described, however there was signal for vodafone data. The host sends you GPS coordinates to find the location in a welcome message. If you are driving uphill to reach what looks like a shed at the GPS cooridnates, walk back downhill a few meters to find stairs going down towards the house."

"Absolutely fantastic stay! I come to Madeira yearly and when I’m with family I ALWAYS stay at either Leahouse or Laurishouse and you cant beat the location and the fantastic community! With the highway right there you can go everywhere. When we have any issues they respond quickly and never a problem! The houses have EVERYTHING! Top quality! Strongly recommend, you wont be disappointed!!"

Thomas gave good directions as we arrived in early evening and it was dark but no difficulty finding the villa. Friendly bar just a couple of minutes up the road walking for cold beer and cooked us a pizza despite being after 9pm."
