With 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, fully air-conditioned rooms, private pool, spacious gardens and interiors finished in traditional style, Villa Vrisses is a truly perfect holiday home for up to 7 guests to enjoy all the Greek and Cretan hospitality. Inside, the villa is set over 2 floors. The interiors are fully air-conditioned (included in the rental price), and finished with taste and style making wide use of local stone and traditional Cretan elements. On the ground floor there is a large lounge with adjoining kitchen and dining area. The lounge is equipped with comfortable sofas (as well as a sofa bed for the 7th guest), TV, direct access to the veranda. The well equipped kitchen (4 cooking, fridge/freezer, oven, washing machine) opens straight to the lounge area where a table for 6/7 guests is located. On the ground floor there is also a spacious twin bedroom opening straight onto the garden. A family bathroom with shower is also located on this floor. On the upper floor there are 2 further airy bedrooms and 2 family bathrooms (one with bathtub, one with shower). The bedrooms are respectively a double and a twin and have access to a lovely furnished terrace providing relaxing views over the countryside. Outside, Villa Nipos is surrounded by well kept gardens with lawn, mediterranean shrubs and flowers. A true oasis for relaxing hours listening to the sound of the cicadas! The private swimming pool (with children section) measures 6m x 4.5m and the depth is between 0.4m and 1.5m. Comfortable sunbeds and parasols are provided for the guests to enjoy. A terrace at the entrance of the villa also offers excellent opportunities for outdoor dining (together with a brick built barbecue / oven for excellent charcoal grilled meals). The property, thanks to its spacious interiors and its large exteriors, guarantees a pleasure and safe stay. All the areas, including the swimming pool, are carefully sanitized and sterilized for the health and tranquility of guests. There are 2 villas there, and we were the only guests at that time. It was quiet and peaceful. There are many olive trees and the lemon trees that you see from the kitchen. The villa and the grounds are kept spotless by the owner who comes to look after the property every day, and is very discreet. Elisa is also super helpful with any queries. Thank you for the yoga mat! The house is also very well maintained and very comfortable. There a great views from the garden and the first floor balcony. It was a nice treat to have the villa cleaned half way through the week. We particularly loved the out door eating area and the balcony upstairs. The pool is small but perfect for a cooling dip. The house was well equipped and very clean and airy. It is exactly as described. The owners were very helpful and the communication was excellent. Location wise: Vrysses, the closest town had everything that we needed - the local Greek yoghurt and honey made a gorgeous breakfast. Beaches at Georgiopolous were close and really nice and we enjoyed eating out in some of the beach bars. Rethymnon is a 30 min drive away - great for evening strolls and dinner. Hospitality was great and the cleaning ladies did a very thurough job. The pool was being kept clean during our stay and the property is obviously well cared for and very very charming. There are 2 similar villa's in relative close proximity to each other but the layout ensures that there is a lot of privacy and you hardly notice other occupants. The kitchen is very well utilised, also we made good use of the outdoor kitchen area with an excellent barbeque and a pizza oven! The area is very quiet, the only sounds that surprised us were from a flock of goats that passed by behind the villa once. Getting to the more touristy areas requires some transportation, but the first shops and bars/restaurants in Vryses are doable by foot. Malgré la canicule, nous avons pu alterner entre la fraîcheur à l’intérieur et la piscine, petite mais extrêmement agréable et profiter pleinement de ce havre de paix. Une autre villa identique jouxtait la nôtre sans que nous nous voyions ou entendions. Le village à côté était pratique mais ne nous a pas enthousiasmé. La Chanée à 40 mn est magnifique. Le parc botanique à 50 mn top. Les plages très fréquentées en août sont a 15 mn en voiture. Après les excursions de la journée c’était toujours un grand plaisir de retrouver la maison et sa piscine au calme et à l’abri des regards. Sauber und freundliche Vermieter. Wir wurden jeden Tag gefragt ob alles in Ordnung sei und unsere Anliegen immer direkt geklärt. Wir waren 11 Tage dort und in dieser Zeit wurden 2 Mal Handtücher und Bettwäsche gewechselt, das Haus gereinigt. Der Pool erfüllt definitv seinen Zweck und ist sauber, den Grill kann man ebenfalls nutzen. Einziger Verbesserungswunsch: mehr Gläser, Tassen und Teller.
