Its layout is simple and operational offering many useful facilities such as a private pool, air-conditioners in every room and free WIFI just to name but a few. Starting from inside, the house consists of 2 floors, the ground floor and the first floor. Upon entering the house from downstairs, there is a big open space with sofas, a big dining area and a beautiful traditional fireplace. The kitchen is on the left in a separate room. It is fully equipped with all the necessary appliances, kitchenware, a big dishwasher, coffee maker, a toaster and a microwave oven. There is also a small dining table for 4\. Moreover, downstairs there is a bathroom (with a shower and a washing machine) and a cosy and spacious master bedroom where a crib can be placed upon request. Wooden stairs lead to the upstairs part of the house. Here there are 2 twin bedrooms with beds that can become double ones, and a bathroom with a shower. There is access to a big outdoor veranda with sofas and marvelous views to the mountains and the pool. The outdoor space is vast, with a big private pool (7.5m x 4m and 1.70m maximum depth) in the backyard, 6 sunbeds and umbrellas as well as outdoor sofas under a wooden pergola, barbecue facilities, and a landscaped garden. Outside the living room, there is also a shaded dining area equipped with a table and chairs. Upstairs, there are 2 big balconies which can be accessed from both inside and outside the house - with pergolas and sofas – overlooking the magnificent rural landscape and the White Mountains which look stunning all year round. The house is located in a huge plot we own which offers our guests the chance to encounter first hand some elements of farm life just by walking around the 13.000 square meter plot. There is parking space all over this plot as well as in the area of the villa. The plot is also gated and can be accessed by 2 streets. In general our philosophy as a family run business is to provide comfort and as many amenities as possible guaranteeing memorable and trouble free holiday in our beautiful island which we are so proud of. We are always at our guests’ disposal trying to cater for their each and every need, as guest satisfaction is our number one priority. Location Apart from the house itself, the location is central enough to anything. The nearest beach, Ombrosgialos, is a 5- minute drive away while other popular sandy beaches are from 10 to 20 minutes away. The historical cities of Chania and Rethimno are less than an hour drive. Other villages with handy shops with local products are just 2 to 5 minutes away. The outside area is what really makes this property so beautiful, the views are stunning from every side, the pool is a really good size and immaculately clean as was everywhere inside and out. We made good use of the BBQ and surrounding outside areas and enjoyed many evenings around the pool or walking (about 30 mins) to the local tavernas. Elle est facile d’accès ce qui n’est pas toujours le cas en Crète. La piscine est très agréable, le barbecue en pierre est fort pratique. Les hôtes sont toujours disponibles et donnent des bonnes adresses. Le ménage entre les deux semaines est un plus, c’est une prestation que peu d’hôtes offrent. Nachdem wir den richtigen Weg gefunden hatten, haben wir nur noch 15 min runter bzw hoch gebraucht. Das Haus selber ist toll auch der Pool ist klasse. Es ist sehr ruhig. Bei diesem Urlaub und speziell dieser Unterkunft gibt es nichts zu meckern - im Gegenteil, es wurde regelmäßig gereinigt, die Ausstattung war üppiger als beschrieben, alles hat wunderbar funktioniert, das Haus ist so liebevoll und praktisch eingerichtet - wie wir es selbst auch bei Eigentum machen würden. Nichts „zusammen geschustert“ und authentisch. Pool, mit tollem Service (alle 3-4 Tage saubergemacht, frische Wäsche und Handtücher) in wunderschöner Umgebung, ideal für viele Unternehmungen auf Kreta, Kommunikation mit Vermieterin problemlos (z.B. Leider stand nicht in der Beschreibung das der Pool erst ab 13 Uhr (großer Baum) und bis ca. 18 Uhr Sonne hat. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt ok. ##### Gerald R. It is a very nice place with great view of the White mountains, and quiet except for the constant sound of the cicadas. The house has generous space and a nice interior. The pool area is well layed out with sufficient furniture and shade almost all day. In particular, a giant olive tree gives shade on the pool up to early afternoon, which allows bathing without worrying about sunburns. The hosts were very helpful for all our requests, which were answered over WhatsApp rather quickly. All in all, we had a perfect holiday, and would book the house again! ##### Johannes L. Das einzige was etwas problematisch war, dass es etwas abgelegen war. Aber das hat uns nicht gestört. The bells on the sheep under the nearby olives groves provide a wonderful gentle soundtrack and reminder of the rural Cretan life of which you are part. The cottage has an upstairs terrace to enjoy the clear night skies and 2 downstairs terraces so you can enjoy being outdoors and in shade. The pool is a good size, crystal clear and well maintained. The wi fi was strong and consistent. There's both a dishwasher and washing machine. The property is about equidistant between Chania and rethymno -circa 45 mins each so both are accessible. Almyrida, a typical Greek seaside town, is about 10 mins down hill with lots of restaurants onto the beach and seaside shops. Kalyves in the next bay along provides more of the same. There are several lovely traditional Cretan villages within walking distance with great tavernas and small supermarkets. Check out Vrysses for somewhere a little less touristy. Marianna is a wonderful host. Nothing is too much trouble. We arrived to find sufficient provisions to keep us going for at least 24 hours which was an unexpected treat. When I injured my ankle she responded immediately with advice and offers to assist. We had a wonderful holiday and would recommend wholeheartedly ##### David B. We enjoyed the place very much. The house is equipped with all you need. We recommend a car to drive around.
