This is a lovely old, historic Inn with a wide porch and plenty of rocking chairs. For some, the rooms may be too small, but ours contained what we needed. Most of it's old charm has been preserved. We had a wonderful evening, starting at the bar downstairs, eating in the gourmet restaurant adjacent to the bar and then just wandering up to our room for the night. Nice that all was available under the same roof, with Apalachicola within walking distance. A special note about the restaurant, The Franklin. The food was superb, the wait staff knowledgeable and the wine selection very good for a small restaurant. We will go back to the restaurant even if we are not staying overnight. Thank you The Franklin and Gibson Inn!
