A pleasant stay
Spotlessly clean room with a rack for my suitcase and somewhere to put unused cushions so as to keep them off the floor. Not a lot of interaction with staff but what there was was pleasant and helpful. I guess my biggest concern was what would happen if the lift broke down as I certainly couldn’t have managed the stairs. No tea (or other hot drink) making facilities, but that’s not the end of the world.

Great place to stay in Angers, France
Hotel De Champagne is right across the street from the train station. Couldn't be in a more convenient location. We were welcomed and made to feel at home. The staff provided us with an extra pillow and were very helpful in responding to all of our requests during our 3 nights there. The Angers Castle and Cathedral, stores and restaurants are all close enough to walk to.

Great location by the (gare) train station... walk to the hotel and short walk to (centre ville) City center... Enterprise car rental right next door ....Breakfast Buffett very good...only downside is hotel is across from bus depot.. can be noisy on weekends...rooms rather small... but clean...going to stay again on way back to Paris...

A good night's stay.in a very convenient location.
Arriving by train this hotel is over the other side of the wide avenue and close to the car hire office within the station concourse. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable with a generous and healthy breakfast. The staff were welcoming and helpful. A good stay.An easy walk to the castle with its magnificent tapestry.

Lovely break in Angers, hotel was clean staff were friendly and helpful. The town had some amazing buildings and great eats and bars, well worth a visit.

Angers, nice clean hotel close to train station
Great location as I arrived by train from Paris. The hotel is literally across the street. I was a little annoyed that I arrived a little after noon and was told that my room would not be ready before 2:00, however I was allowed to store my backs at the hotel. The hotel offers breakfast, but there are much less expensive options stopping at a boulangerie within a few block. The room was clean and the employees friendly. Although there is an elevator, there is a staircase separating the floor, meaning if your room is on the wrong side of the elevator, you still have to carry your suitcase down seven stairs and then up seven stairs.(make sure you request rooms ending with a 1,2 or 3 to avoid the stairs). My train leaving Angers to Paris was at 12:30 and I asked if I could have a late check out (12:00) and was told that I had to be out of the room by 11:00 or would be charged an extra day. I have stayed at hotels in many different cities and this is the first time that when I asked for an hour later check out, I was told no. It just meant having to pack up at 9:00 and deposit the bags downstairs instead of coming back at 11:40 and doing it then. Other than the check in-check out favors that I asked as was denied, it was a good stay.

Great place. Right across from the train station at Angers. Staff was very friendly. Although rooms were small, they were comfortable and clean. Rooms included WiFi, cable, and A/C. For the price, it is an excellent deal.

Simple business trip hotel
I stayed one night. The Hotel was ok for a short business trip very Clean and calm it s near The train station. They have airconditionning which was a real plus as it was hot out side.

The hotel was excellently placed for our purposes, the staff friendly, the breakfast excellent. A bit too noisy outside to leave the windows open over night, but there was AC, so that wasnt a problem. A great experience overall!

This was our second stay here in the last 3 1/2 years. We like the location, close to the train station and it has an English speaking person on the desk. Good breakfast ( extra cost) and cute rooms. Very clean.

Don't judge the inside by outside here!
We walked across the street from the train station to what seemed an older part of town, but found the staff to be very cheerful and helpful for our quick stay in town. Visited the nearby Chateau, had a lovely dinner, and found our way back to sleep comfortably. Shower was great, and no street noise even tho we were above a bus transfer point!

A nice stay
There were no rooms large enough to accommodate my family of two adults and three young children, so we had to stay in two separate rooms on two separate floors. Other than that, parking was very close by, restaurants were nearby, the hotel was easy to find, we had comfortable rooms, the staff were very friendly and knew English, and the hotel was clean and focusing on being "green." It is also my understanding that it had been recently renovated. In addition, it had air conditioning and internet access.
