"This was one of the most relaxing holidays I have ever had. I went to La Estrella de Cómpeta with 4 of my friends and we enjoyed every minute of our visit. We spend most of our time around the swimming pool and on the terrace. We had our breakfast in the sun on the terrace every single morning (in October) and had most of our dinners in the local restaurants (in Cómpeta and Nerja). "It's a wonderful place to stay, very private. tucked away in pretty countryside and yet only a couple of minutes from a supermarket and ten from good restaurants. The house is beautifully decorated in an authentic Spanish style and has everything you need. We loved it! The host, Jane, is most welcoming, friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to meet her. We will definitely go there again. An extra bonus for me as someone interested in birds, was that the house lies right under the flight path...

"Monica is a warm and friendly hostess. She welcomed us for our winter stay with a fire in the fireplace, candles lit, and some herbal tea on the table. She is an artist and collects art, so she has decorated the house in a rustic but elegant style. House was clean and well equipped. Setting is beautiful in a very rural area on the edge of the park with some huge cork oaks in the yard. It was a great base for a week of hiking in December.
