The location of t hotel was an absolute dream!!!...everthing was close by and neighbourhood gave us a real sense of central amsterdam.. Loads of restaurnts and coffee shops within walking distance Spui is t closest tram station nearby which is abt 7 min walk.. The hotel can be reached from the airport by taking t metro to the central amsterdam station and a 10 min walk to the hotel The staff was very frndly and we evn got a free upgrade!!! The redlight district is just around the coner...which was an added bonus!😄

Perfect stay!

Posted 19-May-2017
Pros: Location, Business Class Room, Free WiFi, GREAT Service
Cons: Not much could be improved!
Location: Heart of the city, walking distance to most everything Amsterdam has to offer
Terrific experience at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Amsterdam. The team at this hotel should be HIGHLY commended. I generally prefer small, non-chain boutique hotels, or AirBnBs, but after a great experience at the Radisson Blu in Agra, India, and considering this Amsterdam location, I thought we'd try you again. I was VERY impressed. This was a tough stay as my wife had to immediately leave for Canada for a family emergency, but from the assistance of the staff to the lovely bottle of wine left for our anniversary to the terrific Business class quarters (Room 151 will always be my request in Amsterdam) to the nice personal note from the Guest Relations Manager, everything was excellent. Just a stellar performance by the staff, a truly nice boutique feel, and an incredibly convenient location. I'll not stay anywhere else in the city!

Disappointing

Posted 08-May-2017
Pros: Lobby and restaurant was were lovely
Cons: I paid 818 Euros for 3 nights stay without breakfast, so I expected a little more plushness and luxury in the bedrooms.
Location: good location, lots to see and do!
Disappointed with the room in general, very basic room with steps leading to the bed area! so everytime the bathroom was needed you had to face the steps over and over again! only mirror in bathroom so only one person could get ready at any time. nowhere to put underwear or nicknacks at all, no drawers or cupboards, only hanging space!

Thank you very much for taking the time and effort to leave us an online review of your stay. We are very sorry your room did not manage to meet your expectations towards plushness and we wish we would have been able to make it right during your stay. That said, we are delighted to read that you much enjoyed our welcoming lobby and our in-house restaurant too!

Pros: The hotel is well run and provides a perfect stay
Location: The hotel is located in the central area of the old city, between two canals. All the main attractions are within easy walking distance.
The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of the old city within easy walk of the main attractions. Good sized room, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast choices and friendly, helpful staff. All in all a great hotel to enjoy the delights of Amsterdam.

Modern, convenient but nothing special...

Posted 03-Apr-2017
Pros: Location was good and our room spacious, comfortable and everything worked. There was a large screen TV (with many UK channels) and a coffee machine.
Cons: Staff - other than on the front desk, they are unresponsive and at times confrontational. I didn't feel well served generally.
Location: Central Amsterdam, near the Red Light District and centre of town. Easy to walk to the quieter parts of town from here too. Museums not far either.
Arrived at the hotel late morning and were pleasantly surprised to be checked in immediately (we thought we would just store our cases and come back and check in later in the day). The hotel wasn't the building in the picture on Expedia (I booked it because it looked like we would be over looking a canal) but found the actual site was further up the street, which initially confused us. However, once inside, we were quickly processed and in our room getting ready to go out for the rest of the day. The location was fairly central (about 1km from Central Station) and 2km from the main museums area. For those that want to enjoy the 'traditional' things that Amsterdam offers, it is very close to the Red Light district, coffee shops and lively night life. The hotel staff were a real mixed bag; reception staff and 'One Touch' service was responsive but the rest less so. I have to have a gluten free diet and found the hotel very unhelpful here, other than some cereals available at breakfast. If you want bread, it takes about 20 minutes to toast two slices about the size of a postage stamp. I dared to state that I felt the wait was rather lengthy and was challenged quite aggressively by a member of staff about this, which I didn't expect. On the Saturday night, when I asked at the bar if I could order gluten free pasta, I was told if I had wanted this, I should have told them in the morning. Most hotels now can deal with basic gluten free fare - not here!

Great Hotel

Posted 28-Mar-2017
Although the cleanliness of my room was excellent it didn't get cleaned. We stayed for two nights. On Sunday we left the room at 9.30 returning at 3.30pm, the room hadn't been cleaned so we put the do not disturb as after 6hrs of site seeing we now wanted to relax. 6hrs away should be long enough to clean the room. Apart from this our visit was outstanding
