Mercure Hotel was a great choice for our family of four. We had the family room with a double and two twin beds. The entire hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was so close to the train station and only a 5 min ride to Amsterdam Central Station. Only inconvenience was the road construction in front of the Hotel but that was beyond their control

The purpose of getting this hotel was a bit defeated with it being completely surrounded by roadwork and blocked off so that it was no longer a convenient area to be, I imagine when there isn’t construction it’s much more ideal. We did enjoy the separate shower from the toilet. It was just difficult to justify the price with how much turned into an inconvenience. When we checked in the staff were very lovely and nice, we had a few not nearly as pleasant moments with overnight staff however overall everyone was friendly.

The location was perfect. Under 5 minute walk to the train station that brought you to Amsterdam Centraal as well as Shiphol Airport and if you get a regional 3 day pass even out to the surrounding suburbs like Haarlem and the seaside resort of Zandvoort. It’s a quiet area and does not have much to offer for restaurants but it’s so close to Amsterdam city.

Very clean hotel,rooms a really good size,2 mins walk from train station,takes 5 mins to city centre by train. Staff were all very friendly and happy. Breakfast,what can I say, the choice is unreal,think I ate my weight in creamy mushrooms for breakfast. The Mercure will be my choice from now on.

This hotel is my go to when when Amsterdam for work work or leisure! It’s a great location just outside the city center with easy access to public transportation back to the center. Friendly staff and very comfortable rooms!
